What does your 6yo daughter want for Christmas?

Just that really! I’m a bit low on ideas for DD1 this year; she likes Playmobil and small world play, has plenty of Schleich animals, likes art and loves big cats (especially cheetahs).

I’ll get her some necessities (new pyjamas) and books/Yoto cards, but right now I can’t think of anything other than more of the same things she already has! What’s on your 6yo’s wish list this year?

Following!

Mine has similar interests, she's getting a dolls house for her maileg mice, some cuddly toys (she's obsessed) and a couple of LoLA art boxes - www.lotsoflovelyart.org - you don't have to subscribe, you can buy boxes separately - there's a 10% code off your first order if you google. We've also got her the lego friends space shuttle.

Has she got any 'vet's role play kit?

Ilikecheeseontoast · 29/08/2022 07:24

Barbie accessories or dolls clothes (this is what she keeps asking for), handle bar streamers for her bike… maybe some games? Funny Bunny looks good.

MotherWol · 29/08/2022 07:26

I love the look of the art boxes! I’m going to have a big sort out of her art supplies and work out what needs replacing, maybe tickets for an art workshop/club might be good.

good idea on the vet set too! John Lewis has the Lego Friends street food market for a decent price too.

She's only asked for a blue two wheeled scooter so we've gone with the micro scooter cruiser in aqua and accessories. And either a lego set or some more playmobil, we've been looking at the new wildtopia research center or the Ayuma range. Then some art supplies, yoto cards, oodie, games, an encyclopedia and a Robert sabuda pop up book

Mrsfussypants1 · 29/08/2022 07:58

Her biggest hits this year have been an Rucomfy squarbie bean bag, slime kit, Binoculars, aldi den kit and vtech kiddizoom print cam.

Ifiwasabird · 29/08/2022 07:59

Gosh my daughter has almost identical interests! Right down to cheetahs! I haven't got any good ideas apart from some board games - a friend bought us bird bingo which she enjoys all playing together so I'm planning another one of those (maybe cat bingo) and some others.

CakeCrumbs44 · 29/08/2022 07:59

I think my daughter will get a scooter for Christmas. She has had a 3 wheeled one since she was 3 but is growing out of it and needs a 2 wheel older kids one now. We use the scooter every day to get to school so it's not just a fun present!

Also a Lego friends set and done stocking bits and bobs (hair accessories, books, painting kits etc)

Bloody everything it feels like! 😂

Her 6th birthday is the month before as well so double whammy. She's got a very keen interest in Gabbys dollhouse (damn you Netflix), furreal toys and anything that has a baby. She loves the role play aspect of it. They've brought out a toy of gabbys dollhouse so we'll be getting that plus the extra rooms. She's asked for some of those colour reveal barbies and some encanto toys as well. My parents have bought her a ridiculous furreal horse (it blinks and you can change it's shoes, she'll love it) and a husky thing you can play vets with.

LouLou198 · 29/08/2022 08:05

Following with interest! My 6 year old never knows what she wants, no idea what I will get this year.

MotherWol · 29/08/2022 08:32

@Ifiwasabird Cheetahs make a nice change from unicorns! The Cheetah Conservation Fund have good kids t-shirts and on her last birthday her GPs sponsored her one through the Born Free Foundation, which she loves. I found Cranium Junior in the charity shop this summer and that’s been a real hit for family board games!

Following. My daughter is 5 and im running out of ideas. feels like she has everything already and she barely plays with much

Whycanineverever · 29/08/2022 08:40

If they like slime I made my daughter her own slime kit one year. I bought a book then got big bottles of glue and solution.

Then different bits for all the different recipes - eg shaving foam, Garbo, beads etc. lasted way longer than a small slime kit.

Dd is 6 ( 7 just before Christmas) & Dd2 is 5.5. Last year she got playmobil stuff, lots of stationary, gymnastics mat & a few other bits but I remember struggling a bit last year as she wasn’t forthcoming with ideas. This year she has lots Playmobil house, roller skates, gymnastics bar, stationary, a cat real or stuffed, books, Lego sets, basket for her bike, my generation horse, stable & doll the list is endless. Dd5.5 has little live pet Guinea pig toy, or a real one (not happening) gymnastics beam, roller skates, more playmobil for her zoo, Playmobil vet, Lego, bead/jewellery making sets, book light, books the list is long.

17caterpillars1mouse · 29/08/2022 17:46

That ridiculously expensive mama guinea pig toy

Some robot that drawers for you

My little pony Equestria girls dolls

Some Lego friends

A kite

Dd6 got a Crayola light up tracing board for her birthday which has been a big hit. She also loves drawing

Devo1818 · 29/08/2022 18:14

A few Sylvanian Families bits and a couple of Our Generation dolls and accessories (found on Vinted). She also wants a giant bunny teddy. I am planning on getting her some baking bits and she's into Isadora Moon books.

Devo1818 · 29/08/2022 18:15

She also wants slime for some reason and I am considering a pair of Heelies...

Runaway1 · 31/08/2022 13:55

My daughter would like a gymnastics bar and mat.
I have also got her a set to build different motorised fairground rides which her Lego figures should fit.
She’ll get some bath bombs and a hot water bottle if I can find one with a cute cover. I love the idea of a cake mix - might do that too.

whoruntheworldgirls · 01/09/2022 12:08

The crayola light up tracing board sounds good.
If it helps anyone our daughter got a didicar for her 6th birthday and that's been a HUGE hit!

DinosaurOfFire · 01/09/2022 13:00

There's a cheetah squishmallow in Smyths if that helps for the cheetah loving kids! Also Living Nature do a cheetah stuffed toy for "adopting" too.
