Advent calendar recommendations for tween girls

Hi, please can you give me some ideas for advent calendars for 10 and 12 year old girls.

In previous years, they have had lego friends & Harry Potter which they have loved. We had smiggle one year which they weren’t too impressed with.

I’m tempted to get Lego again but just wanted to see if there have been any other popular calendars?

Thank you

I’m thinking about getting the Yawn Brew hot chocolate advent calendar for my tween DS this year. My other option is this escape room calendar but waiting to see if it comes down in price.
Bomb Cosmetics does a fantastic calendar full of colourful mini bath bombs and soaps.

I’ll have a look at those, thank you.

The escape room one sounds interesting

Gibsons Games do a jigsaw one , it’s brilliant , small jigsaws that you then glue and make into decorations . The ones from previous years are available on their site at a reduced price .

I got my dds charm bracelet ones last year a bit like the Pandora charms, all Christmas themed. They are younger than your DD but I think a 12yo would still love it.

I also did a makeup one a couple of years ago when one of my dds was really into makeup, some of it was too old for her (7 at the time) but would be ok for a 12+yo.

Thanks, I’ll take a look at these too.

My youngest will love the charms/make up ones , my eldest is a bit of a tomboy so not really into makeup & jewellery.

My dd is 12. Last year I did a beauty one as she’d just had braces fitted so the candy kittens one was no good 😅 it was ok and she’s used a few things but wouldn’t get another. She wants a Tony’s chocolate one this year. She’d be really disappointed with anything with toys etc in as she’s just not into things like that anymore, hasn’t been for a few years. I know she would love a Pringles one too, I’m sure I’ve seen those 🤔

For my 8 year old we did a string with little paper bags pegged to it las year. I just bought little bits to fill it with, some where just little chocolates. I tried to keep the gifts to less than £1/£2 and I think in total it cost me around £30 which I thought was pretty good and she absolutely loved it!! Has already asked if she can have it again this year. I know Shein is baddd, but they do lots of little bits that came in handy - novelty erasers, hair accessories, jewellery, fidget toys - all really cheap.

Thanks, some great ideas here.

Might get myself the Pringles one!

Body shop one is good for tweens but so expensive now!

I've got a rocks and fossils calendar from Etsy for my 11yo.

Harridan1981 · 01/09/2022 20:32

Which did you get Stompy?

Stompythedinosaur · 02/09/2022 22:32

@Harridan1981 I got this collection to add to a bucket advent calendar we already have.
