So yes flame me now for even talking about this, but unfortunately I will need to
Budget so need to get thinking ! My DD is not into dolls or anything like that even sylvanian families or any sort of figures etc is a no. So I'm really stuck for ideas. She quite like craft but I hate the mess that of all that shit She had talked about wanting a tent (tepee ) for her room and a new bike but im stuck for ideas for her.

Kawaii drawing/colouring books and pastel coloured Ohuhu brush pens

I don't have a 9 year old daughter, but I have been 9.

Lego
Crystal Making Kit
Meccano
Raspberry Pi (if I had been 9 today)
More Lego

There is a Christmas topic.

GingerAndLemonn · 27/08/2022 21:05

Following!

NoWordForFluffy · 27/08/2022 21:07

DD has apparently gone off Lego, she told me today.

I'm going to get her a Fire tablet, plus see what else she puts on her list.

Hedonism · 27/08/2022 21:08

Probably a sewing machine.

toetoiseshellclub · 27/08/2022 21:13

Some great suggestions! Love the sewing machine and colouring paint brushes. Looking into the raspberry pi (never heard of it)

Dunno yet. She's asked for an electric scooter...

RayneDance · 27/08/2022 22:14

I'm flumoxed mine is obsessed with Roblox.

Doesn't like Lego... we have an older sister and so many colour pens and book's.
Little things would be a wet hair turban and maybe a teddy sheet.

RayneDance · 28/08/2022 07:35

Btw op it might be better asking on Xmas boards as well

BuntyCollocks · 28/08/2022 07:50

Mine will be just days off 10 but technically still 9 😂
She’s getting her first phone as my son got his at that age. My husband will be upgrading so will clean his up for her as it’s still essentially perfect. I’ve so far also got her Ugg slippers (they go to really good prices on Amazon), a ring light, a Disney store easel art set also in the sale. As the phone is a huge ticket item there won’t be much else, but will get little bits for a stocking.

reelcat · 28/08/2022 10:01

@RayneDance you can get Roblox toys although they are overpriced!

Phineyj · 28/08/2022 10:05

A marimba apparently. My fault...I sent her on a holiday course and she fell in love.

PinkyU · 28/08/2022 10:20

Does she watch any/have any favourite YouTube craft makers?

My 9yo loves Moriah Elizabeth who has an art trolley containing loads of different arts and craft supplies. We have bought 9yo the same trolley and then a bunch of Posca pens, tulip paints, paper rolls and pads, brushes etc. We’ll wrap everything individually and the wrap the trolley also.

(All of the things mentioned above were on sale at hobbycraft.)

Thank you so much for this. Hadn't heard of these brush pens but my dd will love them

LaTangerina · 29/08/2022 19:08

Posca Pens seem to be really popular with kids this age & older rn!

Stompythedinosaur · 31/08/2022 23:48

Yy to posca pens. A box of second hand squishies, poscas, fabric glue, puffy paint, jesso and varnish was popular with my Moriah Elizabeth loving dd.

Dolallytats · 01/09/2022 00:02

Mine will be getting colouring pens similar to the Ohuhu ones, which I have and she loves! She's also asked for a polymer clay set, bead set, Harry Potter Lego classrooms, a couple of squishmallows, a tshirt with a skateboarding frog on it and a frog colouring book. Also 'anything kawaii that you think I will like please mummy'!!
Life is so much easier when they tell you exactly what they want Grin
