Design a Friend vs Our Generation

Can anyone tell me is there much of a difference between these 2 doll brands? Looking pre-loved and the DAF ones seem to sell for cheaper.

We have both, df good quality, cheaper, plenty choice of clothes. DF dolls have a squishy belly which annoys dgd (6) when trying to position them. Do have lots of hair, we found it tangles easier (other ppl find it doesn't). Come boxed beautifully and wrapped in tissue) and often on offer or in clearance. OG dolls have a lot more diversity, hair colours and types, skin colours and eye colours so you can find one to suit you. I prefer their faces (others don't) OG and DF accessories work for both, clothing does some but not shoes as although same height they have different bodies. Some people prefer one over the other, I like df but prefer the details on OG and they have a better resale value. HOWEVER dgd loves both and so do her friends.

Designafriend seem to also have a subset of dolls called Designafriend Best Friend dolls whose faces and bodies look more like OG dolls, but I think they look much taller than the regular Designafriend doll? (So check the height!)

We have a Design a Friend. I like her. The Entertainer toy shop have their version too and the clothes fit both types and are rather sweet.
Our Generation have weird faces.

We have both. I think the OG dolls themselves seem better quality and the hair tangles less but we have two OG dolls and the outfits have broke on both in places within a few days of having them, whereas we have one DF but 3 outfits and all outfits are still in perfect condition. Dds don't seem to have a preference

I think the Our Generation dolls are fairly close to American Girl. The quality of them is excellent and I've found lots of clothes on ebay which are designed for AG but fit OG.
DF are nice but a bit smaller and not as posable.
Both come beautifully packaged

Dd has one of each and likes them both. The DF dolls and clothes are a bit cheaper. I got one for her for xmas last year on clearance as well as a wardrobe with clothes in also clearance for a really good price.
The OG seem to have a bigger range of accessories.
Dd swaps clothes among them both. But the DF are a tiny bit smaller.
