Any ideas? I usually get him a football shirt but now he has a pt job he’s already bought all 3 of his team’s shirts 😭

He has a phone and a laptop, AirPods.

He’d like a car but no chance 😂 Was planning to pay for driving lessons myself rather than make them a gift.

Maybe some trainers?

Ideas welcome. He likes football, music, politics.

My DS is older but he doesn't like presents for the sake of it , for many years we've given him cash ( and some underwear/lounge wear in his Dec 1st Box)

If he's thinking about driving though , his Provisional (£34 online application) and some Driving Apps ? (I'd do some lessons too , my DS are about £35 )

For his 18th+Christmas (Dec birthday) he got a really nice TV
For his 21st+Christmas , electric guitar+amp

Last year we replaced his accoustic guitar .and a guitar legends type music book

Does your DS like music /want to play an instrument ?
Aftershave /cologne ?
Male grooming - nice shaver . Maybe gift voucher for a trendy barbers

My DS won;t wear cologne and goes to local barber but I did get him some really good tweezers , nail clippers and brow/beard scissors

Season ticket for favourite football team

Sadly it’s Arsenal-he’s on the waiting list but it will be at least a decade until he’s near the top. Otherwise that would be the best present ever.

Thanks, all. We tend to do cash for his birthday (also December). Cologne is a great idea. He doesn’t play guitar but I’ll think about music ideas 🙏

Table football would be great- will think whether we have space for it.

*Towel with favourite footy club on
*One of those balls that count keepy-ups
*Different sport related thing e.g. basketball hoop, punch bag, weights, bike, skipping rope
*smart watch
*lava lamp, nice desk chair etc
*wall art/framed poster
*subscription to something that allows him to watch footy matches
*gift hamper with vouchers for local places he might get food with mate e.g. Nandos.

Thank you to poster that suggested voucher for the barbers, pinching that idea.

DS is younger at 13 but we have done
Stadium Tours
Match Tickets (he supports our local Championship Team, a Premier League Team and Rangers)
Season Ticket (spotted that ideas out)
Gift Voucher for barbers goes in stocking as well as cinema, quad biking or Karting, pizza hut and Greggs
Does he play sport as well as support?
If so we go footy boots, grip socks, gloves, boot bag etc

I like the travel bag idea above will be pinching that one

Peach27 · 23/08/2022 12:57

If he’s into politics- membership of whatever party, New Statesman or similar magazine subscription. Day out in London to Westminster.
radicalteatowel.co.uk was good for my fairly lefty dad a few years ago. Doesn’t just do tea towels!

mumontherun14 · 30/08/2022 20:29

Football boots
sports training gear like underarmour etc
New tracksuit
smart designer shirt
trainers
overnight trip to see Arsenal
concert/festival tickets
jacket/coat
cinema pass

my son is 17 & has had or would like all of the above but I let him pick himself as he’s super specific xx
