Oh hello, gosh you bargain hunters start early. Thank you very much for the 5poundstuff oodie (perfect for Ds when I turn the heating off this winter) and the bargain science set. Two presents down, feeling proud!

Also, ref the previous recommendation for books for bugs, this is a local company for me and the lady who runs it is lovely and very knowledgeable about children's books. I would definitely second the recommendation!

I don't know if your lucky to be local to them or not- I would love to be able to go to one of the warehouse open days but on the other hand I would spend a fortune! 😂

The Original Party Bag Company are accepting orders again if anyone missed them. They stopped over the weekend, I assume to catch up, but I've managed this morning no problem. It has pretty much sorted out my stocking presents for my little ones and refilled my present drawer.

Unfortunately it's min order £100 now :(

EverydayIsPJday · 09/08/2022 18:11

Oh wow £100 min spend .. I'm out! 🫢

Hello
for various reasons (lots of family stuff happening) I’m planning to get Christmas organised early this year, as I’ll be shopping for my mum too (undergoing cancer treatment), so I’m very grateful for this thread ❤️
Im struggling to think of stocking fillers for my 9yo- she’s in the stage between playing with toys and not wanting to. She loves Kawaii bits though - does anyone have any recommendations re where to buy these please? I had a look on Ali Express, there were bits for pence with free shipping - how does that work? 😳😳

Thanks, in advance- also happy to return the favour and share any bargains I find ❤️

@oatmilkisntsobad , is it just one sleeptee you want? Asking as I ordered the two for a better deal and was free postage.

MerylSqueak · 09/08/2022 20:28

Lego Speed Champions at a good price on Amazon

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 09/08/2022 20:53

Just got a reward from John Lewis for £5 off anything, min £5 spend - the code looks generic to me HIGHFIVE but I have to pay a stupid £2 click and collect fee so not worth it for the thing I want. Give it a go

I've orders 2 already and got free delivery and now I need one more. It's already a little more expensive to just buy one and then there's postage on top which is very annoying!

TurquoiseDreamCatcher · 09/08/2022 21:07

Thank you for the Spider-Man suggestions 😊

imnottoofussed · 09/08/2022 21:36

Can you order two sleep tees and send one back? Then it's free delivery and free returns

@EverydayIsPJday Thanks so much for the Galt science lab bargain. It's on my wish list but hadn't checked Amazon for a few days, so big thanks, used my amazon shopper panel rewards so was essentially free which is just as well because I've stocked up on bargain school shoes in the next few sizes 😱

Thanks so much - got a 50cl bottle of gin that was already £20 down to £10 and then £8.95 with the code plus delivery

ScarlettDarling · 09/08/2022 22:34

There are some great things in the sale at Calvin Klein.co.uk
I ordered a bralette for only £15 reduced from £31 and the matching knickers were only £10.

@WorriedMillie Ali Express takes anything between 6 to 8 weeks delivery but I find most things I've ordered over the years good and worth waiting for. If clothes I would suggest sizing up. Avoid electrical and look for sellers with lots of previous sales with reviews. I've rarely had a problem but when I have they are similar to amazon in that they are quite efficient with refunds.

TamSamLam · 09/08/2022 23:17

@WorriedMillie the 1p thing is only valid for 1 item, but for some reason you can't add full priced items to the basket at the same time. I think just order one thing (that looks like a good discount), then a normal order once you have an account.

ColmanFlamingo · 10/08/2022 00:09

There are some nice pyjamas in the New Look 9-15 sale. Some shortie one - my DD prefers those anyway and some longer ones. From £5-8 I think. They had some Harry Potter ones that were nice and lots of others. Ideal for Christmas Eve or stockings.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 10/08/2022 03:46

Thank you for the John Lewis code. Didn't work until I logged in but got 2 outfits for my friends babies and a jumper each for a total of £13.50! Very chuffed!

And I've also ordered the oodies from the 5 pound website, gutted the koala was out of stock but tie dye and a unicorn one heading our way! Aswell as some costumes and a dungaree set for dd2!

The works have a half price art sale on. They have the wooden advent calendar down to £9 if anyone is crafty and fancies decorating one!

My dds love kawaii style stuff. I highly recommend shein, loads of cute things plus free returns and always a discount code! Takes a bit of searching and navigating so I tend to do it in stages over a week or so adding bits to my basket. Also blippo have very cute stationary and kawaii bits. If you want to spend a bit more artbox have all the sanrio and pusheen stuff.

A hit for my daughters 10th birthday was a big box of fuse beads off amazon (like hama but sorted into colours and cheaper!) Shes made loads of cute characters for herself/friends. She also loved a bag i made up of cute beads from shein, I put them all in a cute lunchbag to wrap them and store them. And she loves crystals, she enjoys reading about them and displaying them in her room. They are very popular among her friends too. I bought her a mystery box from starryoakcrystals on etsy and put them in a wooden chest from the works.

WorriedMillie · 10/08/2022 07:22

Thank you ❤️

Holidayy · 10/08/2022 07:43

Thanks for the science set. Has anyone bought the blue hoodie or the farm/hen egg one? Just wondering if they are also kuddly?

TamSamLam · 10/08/2022 08:06

For anyone wondering about 5poundstuff, the customer service seems pretty good. They missed an item from my order, emailed to complain late at night and had a refund in my account 9am the next morning. I would have preferred the item, and it's not much, but can't fault the response.
