@Crimsonbow did you get an answer as to what to do with the extra parcels?

RainbowZebraWarrior · 29/07/2022 20:17

Thanks for the reminder that I wanted Nigel Slater's Christmas Chronicles. Got it on Audible last year. Saw the £15 Amazon deal on here, but chanced an ebay purchase of a brand new one. £7.50 with free postage. Over the moon. Must try and find a bargain to pay it forward

Thank you so much for mentioning this! I had deleted the app because I hadn't been accepted when it first came up on this post. Just reinstalled it and I'm in!

Just got 25p for a 2 question survey! It all helps 🤣 (that is better than the other survey apps I use to be fair).

I wasn't told I'd been accepted, but went back into the app, and have been. I happened to have 10 receipts, so have my July fiver sorted!

Same thing happened to me - I forgot that I'd even downloaded the app saw the posts here went to check and I'd also been accepted, managed to find 10 receipts that they accepted so I too have earned £5 and 25p from a survey. Very pleased with that.

I also nabbed one of the Gusto referal codes and have ordered my free box. Pleased with all that :)

LemonFrosting · 29/07/2022 22:29

How long were you on the waiting list for the amazon shopper? I've only joined today but I'm so impatient!!

Crimsonbow · 29/07/2022 22:34

@cuwins I've been told to keep it. They said it was dpd's error and that they can resend all of the books for less than it would cost to have dpd collect from me and redeliver (which I did offer). I guess cos it was dpd's error they'll have to pay the company compensation. Really quick customer service and polite, would still order from them again.

Tigger83 · 30/07/2022 07:12

Not Christmas present related but helped me with building up funds for Christmas!

Download Airtime rewards app (bit like topcashback) you link your debit cards and credit cards and that's it. Use cards as normal and you get some of your money back ! Got £100 so far for Christmas fund (you can claim it against your mobile phone bill or get it back in cash once you hit £10 mark. They have loads of retailers that offer it (and ones you regularly shop at often becomes ones that always there) I get money back Argos, boots tescos, wilko ect

Disclaimer: I have a referral code XTNFTDTG which if you use when you set it up and we both get a pound of you use your card within 7 days. Set it up and forget about it and then in a few weeks you will have a nice surprise. I found this app much easier than topcashback as I don't have to go through the website to get cash back, use use my card as per normal.

Bloody Brillant. Card details are encrypted and I work in tech and have triple checked everything and it's Brillant. Hope this helps people. I found this when I was struggling with money. Every little helps ! God I sound like a advert 😂😭

DreamloverTealover · 30/07/2022 09:04

Thanks @Disneyland2022 im having a look at Bargain Max now.

DD is eyeing up the Barbie Dreamtopia mermaid. It's in the sale at £18.99 at Bargain Max then should get the extra 25% off - is that a deal or does anyone know if it can be cheaper sometime?

Also further to this - in the case wallet section sign up to challenges each month. It's well worth it. As I said you won't make millions but it's a fairly passive way of getting few extra pennies for Christmas ect.

Also you can money off get gift cards ect. The more you use it the more different retailers appear and usually ones you regularly shop at !

Any questions just ask.

Tigger83 · 30/07/2022 09:24

Thorilicious · 30/07/2022 09:47

Lacoste are currently taking £100 off of orders over £100. No code needed.

I had a look at Argos yesterday and I’m sure those Barbies were down to £6. Just checked and they are £10. Might be worth checking it out?

Just tried this but not working for me- guessing it was a glitch that they’ve fixed?

noodledoodler · 30/07/2022 11:54

Do you reckon the amazon shopper people will be able to spot the mumsnetters? 🤣🤣🤣

Not sure if you were referring to the airtime app. No general switch deals I don't believe, it's got extra money% return back on gift cards, when booking via booking.com and phone insurance.

Tigger83 · 30/07/2022 13:12

@pitchforksandflamethrowers sorry I meant Nintendo switch!

pitchforksandflamethrowers · 30/07/2022 13:24
