mine'll be gone by new year's day... it's usually part of my hangover cure ritual to take dex down while swearing under breath etc.

sugarplumfairy · 29/12/2007 10:13

Our tree has only been up a week, need to get our moneys worth and leave it up as long as possible!

Lizzylou · 29/12/2007 10:24

BadKittenInAPearTree · 29/12/2007 13:43

And I thought I was ahead by starting to put the Christmas presents we received in their rightful places!

eggnognally · 29/12/2007 13:46

Ooh good, does that mean we can take ours down? I have always left it until the actual 12th night. tbh the house looks like a bomb has hit. maybe we can get the kids to help on Monday, before I start getting into the New Year's Eve mood... hmmmmm

I can't bear to takes ours down yet - it looks so lovely

may get rid of the cards though....

eggnognally · 29/12/2007 13:53

our tree looks like its about to fall over anyway. the kids aren't interested in it anymore, unless there is the possibility of finding chocolate on it. i have mindees all landing on us on 2 jan and, as the tree is in the playroom, it will be good to have the space available to them when they get here....

eandh · 29/12/2007 13:59

Ours are down and toys now sorted into new plastic storage boxes!

Like Nemo its dd2 1st birthday next saturday so wanted house looking normal for a few days before we put some birthday decs up and she has her party (lots of little people and a xmas tree didnt seem very appealing)

nuttynoel · 29/12/2007 14:18

Bits and pieces slowly disappearing. We were helped this year by the monstrous Xmas tree falling down by itself on Xmas night. We chucked it out back and replaced it with a 3-foot fibre optic.
Hopefully, by evening of New Year's Day only this mini-tree will remain and will be chucked into loft as soon as kids asleep.
Leaving the house clear on the morning of 2 Jan when dh goes back to work and we can all get on with life.

Nemostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 29/12/2007 14:46
