It was fun. Many people in Belgium celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve, but we decided to celebrate it on Christmas day. We went to my PIL's house, along with my two SILs and their families. The four granddaughters were happy to be together.

We ate:
tomatoe soup with meatballs (yummy as mil makes great soup)
Some sort of vegetarian dish with avacado pear and tofu

Main course:
Blinde vinke (blind finch) - a traditional large meat ball type thing with a port sauce and it was delicious! with carrot and celeriac mash, and sprouts that are called sprouts in Belgium, not Brussels sprouts

Pudding:
Ice cream and cake.

We opened up one present each between each course.

It was a lovely day. Dh is back at work today as Boxing Day doesn't exist as a holiday in Belgium, and the girls are playing happily which means I'm bored and so alm typing this
