I've got baby guilt...

I know he's only 4 months and I know we're jaded third time parents and we really shouldn't care, but FFS it was a bit sad, no, to get two of his little toys out of his toy basket to wrap up just so we wouldn't feel quite so guilty in the morning when the older two clambered up their huge mountain of presents while he just sat, oblivious and lonely, in his car seat...?

Oh I've got lots of excuses: toddler is only just getting better from his horrible cold, MIL been admitted to hosp again, no sleep for either of us for a week, blahdy blahdy blah... makes no difference: should have got him a proper present.

Crikey I'm a bad parent...

At that age they are really really more interested in the wrapping paper. Its light enough to move, when it moves it make crazy sounds and its brightly coloured. What more could a 4 month old want? Just let him loose with the wrapping paper.

awww bless ya!! Baby wont even know what day it is, let alone feel lonely in his car seat with no presents!! Agree that he'd be quite happy with the paper or a sticky bow. Dont worry! We haven't bought our DD anything either, although she's only 3 weeks old!
