Do your other halves go the pub for a few drinks on Christmas Eve?

Because my dp's friend has just popped round asking if we'll be goign to the pub tonight........chances of a babysitter are Zero and last year he went for a bit but that left me in on my own on xmas eve something I said I would never do again because it's lonely!

We all go. Can't you take the kids? Pubs aren't smoky anymore, and its nice to pop out late afternoon.

They were talking about evening....was hoping to get the kids into a nice bath perhaps a film beforehand to calm them down and get them to bed by 7ish so we can finish off a few last bits plus dp is at work and don't know what time he will be back. I've got to go to my mum's and pick up all the kids presents onced the kids are asleep.

Surly if he went out last year he can look after the children while you go out this year? We are both going for an hour while my mum looks after Isla, I think its reasonable for you to either say not tonight or ask him to only go for a short while.

Islamum - I just asked him (just to see what he said) he said I could as long as I was back by 9 but theres no point because I've got to go and get all the kids presents between 8-9! I'm not that bothered I'd rather do that then come home have a bath some wine and an eaRLY NIGHT then get up about 11ish to do presents!
