anyone been to the carol service at salisbury cathedral?

a tad disappointing actually

choir was lovely but they didn't sing the carols with us,so wasn't as rousing and loud as I expected.

Also hardly anyone around us actually sang,they were all mouthing.

Why do all the church folks in gowns never smile,traipsing around like it was a funeral,only the bishop was cheerful.

Only the bishop gets a decent wage, and can therefore afford thermal underwear.

little tarquin in spectacular jumper was across the aisle from me.

mummy was head to toe cashmere though,she looked cosy,although had that red nosed red cheeked look
