There are always so many threads in Nov/Dec asking for ideas for DH and men in your life. Would love to know what went down well this year.

Fudge subscription

We sacked it off ages ago and I buy what I like and he buys what he likes, totally romantic...

My DH is useless and I buy all my own gifts - doesn't stop me being the Pugh FIL for him though;

  • a sound bar for music at camping trips/beach days etc
  • a scent for everyday (just body shop Arber but he loves it)
  • nice bottle of whiskey
  • beautiful 'fisherman's' jumper
  • decent book
  • fave chocs
  • a really fab/quirky set of egg cups (he has taken to making us all boiled eggs on a Sunday)
  • small things but thoughtful. That's what makes the difference.

Bottle of Red Breast whiskey
Paddy & Scotts coffee bags

Willow4987 · 24/01/2022 15:00

Paddy and Scott’s went down well this year!

Accessories for his coffee machine.

His faves were the multi-tool (swiss army knife type thing) and Makita coffee maker for work as it hooks up to his drill batteries.

Book about the immune system Hmm

Mayhemmumma · 24/01/2022 15:08

Coffee or whiskey related.
Happy socks.

Quacks of Quedlinburg board game - I actually heard of it on here and he loved it, we’ve played it several times already and there’s so much potential for repeated gameplay without it getting boring.

Whingasaurus · 24/01/2022 15:14

Heated motorcycle gloves I think it's the present he's liked the most in twenty years of trying tbh

BrioLover · 24/01/2022 16:07

Sage Espresso Machine
Extract Coffee
Trainers from the Rock's range at Under Armour
Under Armour hoodie
Zelda Breath of the Wild for the Switch (he and DS play games together)
Cake or Death brownies

He has his birthday in December too which is a bloody nightmare!

A Guardians of The Galaxy Lego set

TokenGinger · 24/01/2022 16:51

An Echo Show - he was previously listening to the radio on his phone and now he has the radio on that through the day, plus our cctv links to it so he can see who's at the door without going downstairs first and disrupting a meeting if he didn't need to.

Headband headphones - He likes to listen to relaxing music or a book whilst he's falling asleep but his earphones always fell out. He is really pleased with this and it's also great for the gym on the treadmill etc https://www.amazon.co.uk/Headphones-Bluetooth-Headband-Ultra-Thin-Relaxation-Gray/dp/B085L1XG7V/ref=mpssa115?crid=8OWCJIHAVBNW&keywords=headband+headphones&qid=1643042971&sprefix=headband%2Caps%2C243&sr=8-5

Whilst DH loved his main present (lego fender set) he was really chuffed with a tweed hat I panic bought!

Chocolatepumpkin · 24/01/2022 17:40

A beard straightener 😂 best present ever!

bettertocryinamercedes · 24/01/2022 18:30

Tool cabinet
Rowing machine
Retro poster of his football stadium
Paco Rabanne's new aftershave
His favourite whisky

AnneButNotHathaway · 25/01/2022 08:35

I got an interior design program for my DH ( interior-design3d.com/ ) as he wanted to start some renovations in the house. Last year there was multi-tool and a bottle of wine he loves. He's practical and difficult to buy for so I usually go for things he would definitely use.

mdh2020 · 25/01/2022 08:39

Most successful presents ever were:
Bat detector
Dash cam
Weather station
Fleece lined check jacket from Cotton Traders (other shops are available)
Box of mixed non-alcoholic beers
Box of cheese
Activity days eg falconry

Lemonweightloss · 25/01/2022 09:20

Electric toothbrush. He drove me mad by repeatedly saying how his teeth felt so-ohhhh fresh, clean, fantabulous, but as someone who ( I believe) usually buys rubbish presents, I was just thankful I'd got it right.

IamChipmunk · 24/02/2022 17:44

A lap tray thing but for his laptop. It has a mouse pad bit and a bit that props his phone up in it. Not the most exciting present but he wfh and likes to sit in the lounge sometimes for a change of scene so its really useful! He is quicker on the laptop with a mouse so particularly liked the fact he can still use his mouse!
It was on menkind but I found the same one cheaper on amazon!
