I want to do the chipolatas thing with Christmas dinner but I've never done it before. Do you wrap them in bacon and cook them in the roasting tin with the bird?
What other trimmings do you regard as essential?

I always wrap mine in streaky bacon and cook in with the turkey, not straight from the beginning though as they'll burn.
Roast parsnips are also a must IMO.

buy them ready wrapped from tesco/M&S/sainsburys and cook as per instrucions on the back.

that is how I 'make' them......from my fair hands too as I buy them, unpack them, and cook them!!

Thanks both, I have some chipolatas already so think I will follow VS's instructions - don't worry, roast parsnips are definitely on the menu as well.
