I normally have family ones on my shelf but I tried a card holder for friends and extended family etc and it kept falling down 😂

On string pinned to the wall, it holds loads of them.

MamaWeasel · 30/12/2021 21:57

On a string which is tied to a convenient bookshelf bracket at each end.

WrappedInRed · 30/12/2021 22:07

See I tried pins but my wall is concrete so I actually bent the pin 🤣 maybe I need stronger pins 🤔 😂

I tie string on my stair bsnnisters and attach the cards with mini pegs.

Justmuddlingalong · 30/12/2021 22:11

Command hooks, string and teeny tiny clothes pegs to hang the cards from the string.

Simplelobsterhat · 30/12/2021 22:16

Close family and homemade cards go on a shelf For the rest I used to have one of those strings with tiny pegs. Now we make a display on the door between lounge and dining room (just stuck on with blue tac so very easy).

Ooh command hooks! Great idea.

Special ones on the fireplace, the rest stuck to the living room door with blue tac.

itwasntaparty · 30/12/2021 22:19

On the bannisters with shed loads of blue tax

Dullrugby · 30/12/2021 22:19

Reluctantly

Meredusoleil · 30/12/2021 22:19

I nail a pair of shoe laces into my stair bannisters and hang them on there.

Exactly this! Except I live in a 1950s terrace with no fireplace so the favs are on the TV stand ha ha
TwigTheWonderKid · 30/12/2021 23:13

Blu tacked to the wall of the downstairs loo.

WhatTheWhoTheWhatThe · 30/12/2021 23:13

Honestly? I don’t display them. Loathe cards but most people know this about me so don’t send them. The handful I do get aren’t displayed

ChristmasWithBellsOn · 30/12/2021 23:25

We have a satsuma box, covered with Christmas paper, and store them in that on our hearth. That way we don't have to clutter the house up with them, but can flip through them from time to time.

Ohisitreally · 30/12/2021 23:36

On certain shelves...as soon as they fall off straight into the bin !

Scarby9 · 30/12/2021 23:47

Close family and friends on mantelpiece and hearth.
As many cards as possible stuck into bookshelves (non-picture section slotted between books, picture visible in front of books).
Some cards on radiator cover and windowsill in hall.
The rest pegged (with tiny gold or reindeer pegs) on strings drawing pinned to the top of door jambs so strung along walls.

TeeBee · 31/12/2021 08:04

They go straight in the recycling bin. I don't want crap cluttering up my house. Just send me a text; I thought we'd all woken up to environmental issues

OverByYer · 31/12/2021 08:05

In my recycling bin. Can’t stand Christmas cards!

Squirrelblanket · 31/12/2021 08:34

I'm another 'in the bin'. Grin

My mum attaches hers to the doors and walls in the living room with blu tack and I think it looks awful.

snowmanshoes · 31/12/2021 08:53

I staple them to a piece of old ribbon and tape it at the top to the back of a door with the ones for the children being stood up on a glass shelf - now they’re in the bin!

FASDE1517 · 31/12/2021 08:53

I leave them on the worktop for a few hours until my husband has read it, then it goes straight into the recycling bin.

BornOnTwelfthNight · 31/12/2021 08:54

On the fireplace. But tbh we don’t really get that many any more, I think we got about 5 or 6 this year.

But back when dcs were in school. I used to display the nice ones on the mantle but blue tack the rest to the wall in vertical line beside the door frames the kitchen.

Bluntness100 · 31/12/2021 08:56

I put them on the mantle piece and window cills.

garlictwist · 31/12/2021 09:25

Mine also go straight in the recycling Blush. I don't see the point of them and hate clutter.
