80s Christmas - Wham, The Pogues and too much rum and black!!!! I still love Wham and The Pogues though.

Oh and don't forget the Weebles and Rubiks Cubes.

youcheaplousyharpsichord · 20/12/2007 21:28

Weebles can cause bad bruising if you throw them at your sister's head.
apparently.
can I have some o your selection box?

Yeah, if it was the 70's again I might actually get Girl's World! Never got over it! I'm off to watch Eric and Ern.

discoverlife · 20/12/2007 21:29

Oach, Im covered in bruises from that dangerous (but oh so cool) chopper bike.

youcheaplousyharpsichord · 20/12/2007 21:30

oh Eric and Ernie.
genius.
and the TOTP Christmas special! we were so excited, the only time in the year that we got to have the tv on while we were at the dinner table

OH my... Action Girl and her Space capsule, the day it actually started snowing on Xmas Eve and then snowed properly (1971 I think), Morecambe and Wise, being drugged so we'd sleep (OK, OK, calm down, it was 5ml of the 70s equivalent of Medised)...

Krimble · 20/12/2007 22:59

Late 80s christmas I got a Gunds and roses album from my mum , she obviously didn't know the lyrics .

All I ever wanted when I was younger was a big yellow tea pot and a cadbury mini bar dispenser.

Krimble · 20/12/2007 23:01

Oh we always had loads of snow, we used to make sledge runs down the pavement where the snow plough had pushed all the snow onto the pavements. Proper 3 foot deep snow.

youcheaplousyharpsichord · 20/12/2007 23:21

my dd1 is getting a Dairy Milk choc dispenser for Christmas

Let's have a disco with my brother's new five-colour torch. I've got the Grease album and, er, my dad's War of the Worlds.

Krimble · 20/12/2007 23:26

Who wants a game on my simple simon new fangled electronic thing.

wessexgirl · 20/12/2007 23:27

Yellow bleep, blue parp, green blip-blip etc.

I win.

southeastastra · 20/12/2007 23:28

here's my date hand's off, bagsy first

KbearingGiftsWeTraverseAfar · 20/12/2007 23:30

Hope I don't scratch my new Abba record. Thank you for the music!

Lauriefairycake · 20/12/2007 23:30

I'll have a babycham and cry in the corner to Last Christmas with my panda eyes mascara
and wear a 3 tiered polka dot skirt

Krimble · 20/12/2007 23:35

Oh I have on my purple stretchy dress (bit short) with black velvet court shoes. God I am sooo sofisticated.

Or perhaps I will regress further and go for the Madonna look. My mum knitted me a vest top thing to go over other tops, I wore it too the youth club disco .

Krimble · 20/12/2007 23:37

80's cartoon

Charlene1 · 24/12/2007 22:25

Don't forget to wear Miners orange eyeliner, electric blue mascara and eyeliner, a batwing jumper with ski pants, glitter on your face - and make sure you crimp your hair!!
Oh dear, it appears that I still dress like that now, 20 odd years later.. (wanders off to listen to Aha and Spandau Ballet)
