I feel so bad about Boxing Day today. I live with my DH and 2 DCs 7 and 5. Since having the kids we tend to have Christmas Day on our own so we can follow our own schedule and eat when we want. It’s very relaxed.
Today we were supposed to go to my mum and dad for lunch and take the DCs. But my Nan who is 93 had a fall today. She was in a bad way and my mum had to call an ambulance. If too 4 paramedics to get her out of the bathroom and down the stairs on a stretcher. She is being assessed in hospital. But mum didn’t she couldn’t really communicate.
My parents had to wait 3 hours for the ambulance to arrive. So my time I spoke to them at 3.30pm they had just got home and were having sandwiches.
Not the day we had planned. Also very worried about my Nan. She has been slowly declining since the start of COVID.
