My gorgeous DS4 'got' Christmas for the first time this year and it's been so much fun.
It's my 2nd Christmas as a single parent and I was determined to make it special - last year was the bare essentials and was a bit rubbish.
He's currently in the bath playing with a car wash toy Santa got him, and is singing Rudolph the red nosed reindeer mixed with baby shark. He's been so polite thanking my dad for his fire engine present over the phone thjs morning and told me he's happy out of the blue.
I even bothered to do most of the washing up from Xmas dinner last night so haven't walked downstairs to a bombsite.
Sorry if this post sounds smug but I've just had a wave of gratitude, peace and "well done you, you've bloody done it" wash over me and wanted to tell someone.
