It’s happened - the turkey is frozen 😬

Just a small 3 person M&S turkey breast joint. DH put it into the fridge yesterday first thing, but turns out it’s a 48h defrost 👍🏻😬🤣

Can I salvage it? Am I likely to poison us all leaving it out to defrost in the kitchen today? Only takes an hour to cook and not eating till 5pm so I have a decent amount of time!

If you have a fan oven you can defrost in the oven with the fan on and no heat. It takes the colder air away from the meat so it defrosts more quickly.

Defrost in warm water.

Thanks all 😅 It’s out of the fridge and is only a small breast joint so hopefully it’ll be fine by later on 👍🏻 it’s only me, DH and our 1 year old so if in doubt we’ll leave it until tomorrow 👍🏻😊

Do you have an Instapot or pressure cooker ? You can cook a chicken from frozen solid in less than an hour then brown it in the oven..

That is valuable information! I have a crock pot it has never seen the light of day

Not helpful but I had a giggle remembering Denise in The Royle Family having a bath with the frozen turkey. I think it was a bubble bath too!
