He has asked for money for trainers but apart from some bits for the gym I’ve very little for him to unwrap. He likes designer expensive things. Any ideas would be much appreciated Confused. Would like something a bit fun too

Really tricky this age I find. My DS16 has only asked for gaming headset with a microphone. I have got him:

Gaming headset! (At least I know he will like it!)
T-Shirt
2 x joggers (next)
2 x hoodies (next)
1 x trainers (adidas)
3 x smellies
Biking Gloves
Socks/Boxers
Throw for bed
£25 Amazon voucher
New wallet
security box (metal locked with £50 cash inside)

His 'Santa stocking' (Yes, I still do that AND is looked forward too by him and older sister) is full of wrapped chocolate/sweets/lindt reindeer/reeses chocolate/deodorant-then unwrapped I have popped in candy canes/chocolate coins/popping candy ect

Luckily for me mine is not into designer, I saw a Hoodrich tracksuit for about £120 and asked if he would like something like that also, and he told me he could get 5 outfits for that...no idea why he is naturally frugal!

My 15 year old is the same re designer gear. I've got him ..:

Armani tracksuit
Armani pyjamas
Nike tech tracksuit
Nike Jordan hoodie
Eau sauvage aftershave
Sodastream
Beats headphones

Plus god knows what else. Lots. Too much!

OwlNChips · 21/12/2021 09:55

This time last year he was telling me how clothes were not a present and how he couldn't care less what he wore. I'd be able to buy him loads in Next etc

Now? Has to be Nike tech, Armani or Boss Hmm

Argh it's been so hard this year! Main present was a new phone so that was easy (and cheap since I just upgraded the contract) after that...
got him the ASOS men's face and body advent calendar to cover smellies and he really is enjoying opening it!
north face gloves (on sale at ASOS Grin)
Hugo boss tee
A feather quilt?! (He specifically asked for) and new bedding
A watch - nothing very expensive around £40
A book
A new cap (around £20)
Couple of stocking filler bits

My mum covers lounge pants/boxers/sweets
My partner usually gets him a voucher

That's about it

Mine is 19 and quite difficult to buy for but we have bought him t-shirts, a hoodie, gloves, deodorant/shower gel so he has something to open and I will give him cash too. He doesn't ask for designer stuff, thank goodness. My mum has bought him another hoodie and a beanie with a light and she will probably give him some cash too as she is always overgenerous.

Stocking (he still gets one too :) ) has sweets, chocolate, pens and other stationery and a hot chocolate bomb.

Mine wanted a vintage watch Hmm I was a bit wary of buying an old times that he liked.. so we found a new one which was almost identical and he’s got that. Was £160 in Black Friday sale so quite pleased. He did not want a smart watch.. it had to be a “proper watch”

He’s also got a few things such as grow your own chillies, an office chair for his desk, a kuddly robe thing.. some PJ’s, chocolate and a large tub of “fluff” Grin hopefully I’ll get his watch engraved after Christmas for him too

PieMistee · 22/12/2021 23:44

Some headphones, a cheapish Fitbit (£30), some socks, a t-shirt and some chocolate and a couple of books. He gave me no ideas so hope he likes ir. He has a Saturday job so buys his own stuff most the time

Aftershave
Pop vinyl figure
Fast iPhone charger
Cable guy
Dressing gown
Nanoleaf lights
Powerbank
Necklace
Phone case
Luckily he’s gone past the designer phase and is happy to wear any clothes again so he’s got new hoody, cargos and t shirt too.

SingleHandSue · 22/12/2021 23:56

We’ve got 16yo DS

  • office chair for his room (he asked for)
  • new goalie gloves
  • cricket stats/tactics book
  • phone charger (he broke his and keeps nicking mine!)
  • trackies
  • hoodie
  • toiletry set
  • giant toblerone
  • cash

Also a few bits in his stocking, mostly chocolate. P
