How long to defrost this turkey crown?

I'm attaching a picture with the weight of said turkey and if anyone can work it out for me please I'd be very grateful. I'll be cooking it on Christmas Day.

I'm starting to panic that I'll either take it out too early and it'll have to be binned or it'll still be frozen on Christmas Day Grin

Thank you

Doesn’t anyone use google anymore

Mine is in a box and it tells you to take out 48hrs before and defrost in the fridge, if that's any help. Won't fit in mine but one of my sons lives 10 seconds away so will be using his as its always empty due to him eating at mine all the time🤣😂

g0oG1e is amazing!

Mumsnet is usually amazing too Hmm

I'm not very good at maths and working out times/weight so thought I'd ask on the Christmas thread where lots of people could google an answer but would prefer confirmation from others - thanks

Thanks @Mossstitch. Sounds like your son knows where his breads buttered. My dc love going to my dm's as she always has "nice biscuits" unlike me who buy boring ones apparently Grin

Thanks for the links @over50andfab I'll take a look.

44 hours going by guidelines.

So say 48 hours to be safe.

StrangeAddiction · 20/12/2021 00:58

Thank you @GayParis so even with my crappy working out skills I wasn't too far off time wise that I wouldn't be trying to defrost it in the bath - Royle Family style!

In a pan of cold water overnight.

Cook to minimum of 75 Celsius

@StrangeAddiction that nhs link is really good, so that means yours needs 3 hours 10 minutes at 180. Have to admit I'm always worried about giving everybody food poisoning so tend to overdo meat so useful to me also👍 enjoy 😋
