Sainsburys food to order- isolating

I have a sainsburys food to order to collect on the 23rd, but just found out we will be isolating :( I know the deposit is non refundable, but does anyone know if we have a chance of getting anything back? Or if someone else can collect it if I can find someone? I have been trying to phone but can't get through so will try again tomorrow, trying to see if I need to add anything to a delivery I have coming!

Can't you ask a friend or relative to pick it up for you?

Chouxfun · 19/12/2021 15:28

I have asked a few but we have recently moved due to DHs job and don't know many people here, I was going to ask nicely on social media if someone was going anyway and would collect for a small payment, but not sure if they'd need my bank card for proof or order and feels risky lol! If its just the deposit we lose it's £20 which is annoying but hope we don't have to pay the full amount or something.

My mum/sister has collected our shopping numerous times - they did it every few days after I had my C-section as my husband had to go back to work. I just forwarded the email to them and gave them my ID.. there was never an issue.. if that helps? Not sure about cancelling and your deposit though. X

I think someone else can pick it up for you? Might help if you give them your ID to take.

NotAnotherCrapHamper · 19/12/2021 15:43

Call them and ask if they will drop it off- or if they can do a contact free pick up.

Why are you isolating?

Chouxfun · 19/12/2021 16:36

We are isolating as me and DH have just had our results back and our positive, DS isn't but he's only 2! Thanks for the ideas will be patient and call them again tomorrow.

Our local taxi firm do supermarket click and collect pickups; you could see if anything similar is near you?
