It's a thing that they don't do deals. If an apple iPhone 4 is £300 when it's released it will be still £300 two years later even when a iPhone 5 is released.

Apple have shut down some production lines due to chip shortages, can't see any discounting going on when there are product shortages.

They tend to discontinue the product and no longer sell it rather than discount.

I'd buy now. On Black Friday they often have deals where if you buy X product you will get a £Y value Apple Store voucher but no actual product discounts and that's only for Black Friday, I believe. Can you get the product refurbished from Apple?

You'll never get a discount on Apple stores except at some retailers (Argos for example) on older stock they are about to discontinue. However, last years product will go down in price by around £100 or so. iPhone 13 is out now, so the 12 can be had for about £600.

John Lewis or Apple Store often do 3 months or 6 months of Apple TV or Apple Music free with purchase but that's about the most you'll get as a discount or offer
