Secret Santa/ Lucky Dip £5 budget age 8-11

Hello, there's been a last minute suggestion by one of the DCs clubs to do a Secret Santa/ Lucky Dip thing tomorrow evening. Gifts to be put into a bag and picked at random. The group consists of boys and girls aged 8-11 and the suggested budget is just £5.

Given the limited budget and time available I wondered if anyone had any suggestions. I have a major shopping centre in easy reach but between work and the school run I won't be able to spend long there at all.

I always have a box of random gifts for moments like this or last-minute kid's birthday invites or school events etc...

If you need ideas something currently in my emergency gift box include:

• a doll
• a my little pony type toy
• a despicable me book
• a colour your own height chart
• a newtons cradle
• a toy fishing game (net to catch swimming bath toys)

I'm sure there are loads more but that's what I remember, I think a lot came from Home Bargains but B&M and Poundstretcher are good places to shop for emergency gifts too.
