If you were making a Xmas stocking for yourself what would you put in it?

Just that really. This will be the first year that all the kids in our blended family will be together for the whole of Christmas so I want to make it special.

I’ve done their stockings (and one for DP). DP is very generous with gifts but will not have the imagination to put a stocking together for me so I thought I might do one for myself.

I’ve got a few ideas but any others would be great. Or do you think it’s a daft idea and I shouldn’t be doing it myself.

Paint brushes
1970s espresso cup
An old map of my village
Coffee
Chocolates from the blue cat
Wool socks
Wrist warmers
A nice vintage pen
A new tree ornament
Gardening gloves
Early seeds
Voucher for a head massage

In reality I will get…underwear I don’t like, chocolate I share with kids, and a scarf. Always a scarf. (I never wear scarfs). And some lavender bath foam. (Again, never used)! Always the same. It’s nice they do it though, of course. It just makes me feel a little unseen. I had fun writing my fantasy list though. Maybe I’ll slip in something and claim ignorance!!

It's amazing how many people , including myself that want socks.
They always seem to be classed as naff presents but it just shows how much people want them .
While most possably don't want Primark / Tesco cheap ones good quality warm ones are always high on my list.

This year I have asked santa for 4 pairs of Totes and 6 pair of wool boot socks .
Toasty toes !

Now I want a stocking too! I'm not doing one for DH this year and I'm in two minds as to whether or not to do one for DS1&2. Probably not good to do just one for me though, right?

I've left it too late I think to get all those great suggestions online now though. I haven't been "real" shopping in years!
