There was a thread on here that had Australian stores that accepted uk bank cards? I’ve left it a bit late this year - help!!

What sort of things are you looking for. I frequently buy presents online ueing my uk card for relatives in Austrlia, you just pay for it in sterling and the bank convert it to dollara.

Not done it with Australia but I know with Canada you can purchase through the Canadian Amazon website.

Although I'd also think most Australian shops would take Mastercard or Visa credit even if they won't accept debit cards.

I haven’t really had problems buying on Australian websites from the UK. I just Google what I want to buy and see what websites come up. Delivery time is generally much longer than the UK though.

I tend to buy from the following stores

David jones
Myer
Kmart.com.au
Target.com.au
Amazon.com.au (not as good as in uk and watch out for expensive overseas shipping charges)
Country road

Really most sites I want to buy off allow me to use uk cards/billing address with separate in Australia shipping address. You do occasionally come across a site that assumes Australian billing address but this is rarer and rarer.

M&S .com have Australian branches

You are cutting it fine though, shipping takes ages. Myer I find fairly speedy.

I have ordered flowers from their local florists and gift vouchers from their favourite local bakery and restauant. All took uk visa debit.

Great thanks everyone
