I struggle every year for stocking fillers for my DS. He’s 13, football and Xbox mad. Ideas very welcome!!

DS (13) wrote to Father Christmas again this year (well, he emailed it to me...included a discount code for one of the custom lego things he wanted Grin) so we've got the paperback books he specifically asked for, plus some bits and pieces to customise Lego minifigures. He 'idly' dropped into conversation the fact that most of his socks are too small and that his pair of special Christmas fuzzy socks (which he must have had 5 years) are now coming up to his heels. Grin

So as well as the books, lego stuff and a wolf calendar he really wanted, he has LOADS of new socks, some pants, a pair of PJs, a vinyl decal for his bedroom light switch that says 'Light Side/Dark Side' (Star Wars...), a bag of lemon sherbets, a chocolate orange, one of those tubes of fruit pastilles that you only get at Christmas, a soap dish and soap for his bathroom (well why not?), and a cuddly plush wolf because he's still a big kid. Grin

@GlomOfNit you didn't notice your child's socks are too small? Not sure I'd pass off that absolute basic requirement as a Christmas gift

I would.
Anything bought between now and Christmas is a present.

Ds at 13 could move from 'all clothes too big' to 'large areas of leg not covered' apparently overnight...

Oh please. He's nearly 14, these are a single pair novelty fluffy reindeer socks bought years back that he's refused to part with since they were bought when he was about 8 (as memory serves, in place of slippers as part of a costume for a church nativity play where he had to wear PJs). Some of his other socks (eg the ones he wears day to day) are getting on the small side but nothing drastic. I mean, do you closely examine your nearly 14 year old's feet to see if their socks are exactly the right fit, or would you maybe trust your nearly 14 year old to tell you? Hmm Please piss off with the PA comments.

and and AND I have also handfuckingknitted him a pair of sodding socks as an extra special stocking thing (do you know how long it takes to knit socks??) in his favourite colours and yes, I did indeed measure up his feet for that. Grin

These are Brilliant ideas, just order the headband/ball boxing things. My son is 14 and into gaming, hanging around at the stupid park and looking in the mirror at his new muscles, so any fitness gift is brilliant. Keeping an eye on this thread for more ideas. If any has a non-girly 10yo old girl??? In fact I may start my own thread 😃Grin
