Wouldn't you love to bottle it up and keep it forever?

dd1 has been a little terror for most of today. (she's got a cod and is feeling grotty)

I heard a bell ringing outside and looked out of the window and could see Santa and the local Rotary Club coming down our street. Her eyes lit up and she had a smile on her face for the first time today.

I asked her if she wanted to go over and see him, and see if he would make her leg better for Christmas day. She said that "maybe he would give her a new knee cap for Christmas"

btw, she doesn't need a new knee cap, my dad is having an op in the new year for his.

Anyway she went outside wrapped in my dressig gown and said hello to him.

That's my first real lovely christmas moment with one of my children.

Is anyone else feeling all warm and glowing? (drinkers of too much wine excluded!)

awww that's what it should be like Margo- lovely!!

We had a moment like that with our mini-nativity the other day, a sheep wandering round dancing to the music, a beautiful star who refused to lead the kings to the manger so they marched off on their own, & a shepherd who loudly announced "this tickles" & dragged his beard & tea-towel off his head/face. Collpase of adoring parents & giggling staff....marvellous!!

I get a glow watching the proud parents & the love on their faces as they watch their little ones singing!!

sigh

I love christmas!! (pass the bucket)

Took my DD to my school's carol concert, she's 2.5 - she was mesmerised by the singers and the music
