Work colleague and she’s lovely so looking for something nice rather than a jokey gift!! Don’t know her overly well (only worked together P/T for about 5/6 months) but definitely uses cosmetics etc, does drink, loves doing things with her DH & kids, loves stuff for her home.

£10 limit.

Voucher? That is actually nice to get.

PanettoneSeason · 14/12/2021 14:35

@Kittykatmacbill I appreciate a voucher myself but they’re very much frowned upon in my work 🤣

Nice bottle of wine or prosecco.
Family quiz/board game type thing.
Candle from TK maxx.
I'd avoid cosmetics unless you know which brand she uses.

M&S' Christmas candles with fairy lights are lovely.

Sunshineandflipflops · 14/12/2021 14:56

A decent scented candle, a decent bottle of wine, a couple of wine glasses or similar. I would be v happy with any of those over something 'funny' or naff.

Gloves

Make up bag
Nail varnish

My SS is also 42 yo female! I got a lovely little candle holder and a nice christmas decoration from a nice independent gift shop.

PanettoneSeason · 14/12/2021 19:24

Thanks for all the suggestions guys 😊 I always like to get something nice rather than naff or funny. Last year was a £20 limit and I found that much easier!

I fit that profile and would love a nice mug with some hot chock mix

RandomUsernameHere · 14/12/2021 19:46

Agree with previous suggestions of candle. I got one from my work SS and was pleasantly surprised (I'm mid thirties).

PanettoneSeason · 18/12/2021 14:19

Really struggled on the candle front. Seen some beautiful ones that I know she’d love but much more than £10 👎🏼

I know she loves a hot chocolate. A nice mug & some fancy hot chocolate?

I would hate to get a candle, sorry

A nice bottle of wine and a small Christmas ornament.
If you know what brand she uses, body butter, handcream maybe?

Mug with some of her favourite drink, tea bags, hot chocolate tub or coffee bags
