I've gone for polar bears and ice this year Smile

Hopefully it won't all melt and turn into a sticky mess by Christmas eve!

That's fab. I haven't even thought about mine yet.

What is the ice made out of?

sadpapercourtesan · 13/12/2021 20:05

Just caster sugar and a bit of blue food colouring, heated until it's almost all melted but not quite, then poured out onto a heatproof mat and smashed up Xmas Smile

I love this. I haven’t made one but I’d think I was amazing if I’d made that. Also intrigued by what the ice is

That's amazing! I've not made one, my sister does a cake for each of us. I'm collecting mine this week! If I remember I'll post a pic of her efforts Smile

Beautiful!!

We haven’t made one this year. I wanted to make mini ones but I decided against it in the end.

I make ice shards by melting Glacier Mints and quickly shaping the cooling puddle into peaks. It looks fab but goes soft and sticky in about 48 hours so dont do too early. You can put a wee nightlight behind them too.

Thanks! That's really helpful.

Wow mine just gets marzipan and icing on it usually with snow flakes from my snowflake stamp.
