Also The Old Kingdom books by Garth Nix

But start with Sabriel which is now book 2 but was originally the first book.

ohmyohmy123 · 12/12/2021 22:47

Thanks - how come it's book 2 now? Do they flow or new stories in each book?

It’s a bit like star wars. So the stories flow, Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorsen we’re the first three books and he wasn’t going to write more. Then he wrote a 4th book , Clariel. then a 5th book which was a prequel so it’s now book 1. Then a 6th book.

It’s like star wars and a tad confusing. Plus the original three are the best.

Ah that makes sense! We are Star Wars fans Grin. Thanks again

I second the Garth Nix series recommendation, and concur with the reading order.

Brandon Mull's Fablehaven & Dragonwatch

Philip Reeve's Mortal Engines

Also agree the original three are the best. Xmas Grin
