Gift for teen girls (14)

I’ve almost finished Christmas shopping! This is the last thing!

2x 14 year olds, not overly girly, DD hasn’t known them that long so isn’t sure what to get them but they’ve been really good friends to Dd through a tough time so I want to get them something.

I was thinking a little gift bag with treats, fluffy socks, chocolate… but what else?!

I find that age girls like Victoria's Secret body spray? And face masks.

Firefliess · 12/12/2021 08:30

Lush bath bombs are very popular

CeeceeBloomingdale · 12/12/2021 08:33

Yes to everything mentioned so far plus hot chocolate bombs. Home bargains do this for between 99p and £1.49. They also do fab little iced biscuits to sit on the side of hot choc mugs. Sheet face masks, lip balm, nice pen (the ones with diamonds on the top go down well, available from home bargains, pound shops, the works etc). Essentially go to home bargains, it’s your friend.

crystals is a good shout, my dd and all are friends are obsessed with them
Chrispackhamspoodle · 12/12/2021 09:00

Crystals are big here too.Yiu can get necklaces from etsy for around £5.

My 14 year old DD says you can never have too many notebooks and highlighters. Or too much chocolate...

MrsPleasant · 12/12/2021 09:08

Mine has just turned 16 and also not girly. She would not like any of the things mentioned! They would all be girly (and she would be difficult about the chocolate).
Much of what she likes would be difficult to buy if you didn't know her, but a book or music voucher would be better received.

Arcadia · 12/12/2021 09:21

Jade face roller? £5 from super savers or £10 from Superdrug.
Hot water bottle?

SirVixofVixHall · 12/12/2021 10:05

My 14 year old, who also doesn’t wear make up, would like the socks and chocolate but nothing else mentioned. She has never used a face mask and bath bombs really irritate her skin.
She would like a book, socks (fluffy or not) , gloves, a beany hat, nice pens. Something for her hair, eg mini bottle of shampoo or conditioner.
14 is difficult I think. We are very rural and so my dd and her friends are outdoors types and mostly in wellies. They aren’t really into face masks and body sprays. So it depends on the teenage culture where you are to some degree.

Innocenta · 12/12/2021 10:08

Incense with an incense stick holder.

reluctantbrit · 12/12/2021 10:56

If they are not girly I would say most of the things mentioned wouldn't be that appreciated.

Maybe quirky notebook and pen? DD can never have enough of them. Chocolate is always good and DD and her crew are really into Costa drinks.

Or a voucher for a book store? Voucher to download music?

mmmmmchocolate · 12/12/2021 16:48

Thanks for the ideas, I almost got them a voucher but with the issues with retail you never know if the company is going to last. I’d have brought HMV vouchers but it’s been in trouble so many times in recent years.

I did a little bag for a chill evening with chocolate, popcorn, a scent DD says all the girls wear, lip exfoliator, fluffy socks and a bath bomb. Hopefully they will like most of the items!
