Have you tried Sainsbury, Asda and Ocado/Waitrose? I booked the last slot available in my area this morning, it's frightening..

Good luck!!

wessexgirl · 18/12/2007 14:03

Tried Tesco last night but no dice. Off to try Sainsburys now.

MingMingtheWonderPet · 18/12/2007 14:10

Too late i'd say.
I checked ocado, sainsburys, tesco and asda on Sunday night and couldn't get anything.
Should have been more organised, am now going to have to trawl round shops.

wheelybahhumbug · 18/12/2007 14:10

keep trying - I booked one for 22nd in November as it was the latest one I could get - last night I was able to change it to 23rd (and if I'd been a bit quicker could have got 24th). They were changing all the time. This was ocado.

woodenchair · 18/12/2007 14:11

this promopted me to look and have just reserved a slot for friday night with asda, not ideal, but if it saves me trawling round the shops.

Thanks for the nudge

nailpolish · 18/12/2007 14:13

you could always go on foot like the rest of us

nailpolish · 18/12/2007 14:13

jeez what did we all do before grocery delivery

paulaplumpbottom · 18/12/2007 14:14

Support your local shops and go to the local butchers, backery etc

nailpolish · 18/12/2007 14:18

paula

tesco is SHIT - why would you buy your food there???

wessexgirl · 18/12/2007 14:19

It's the booze I need delivered really - can't drive, so carrying it home would be tricky! Does anyone know an off-licence that delivers?

I would Paula if we had a local butcher, greengrocer etc but alas these seem lacking in London (or at least our part thereof !). But I don't go to Tesco.

pukkapatch · 18/12/2007 17:58

before online delivery, i didnt do the grocery shoppin. mom and dad did, or mil did.

I was in Sainsburys this afternnon about 2pm - loads of stuff with sell-by dates after 25th - place was virtually empty - do you have a access to a car or could you get a taxi & go off peak? At least that way you won't get weird substitions [fgin]

pukkapatch · 18/12/2007 18:50

i want that name. how dare you have that name

i will of course end up going tothe shops. however, i would rather walk accross live coals, or eat snake slime.

Quick Red Alert for anyone who has got a Tesco delivery coming - my Mum amended hers yesterday - due to arrive tommorrow and no "large xmas Turkey Crown" was listed that she had ordered. Rang up concerned and the lady advised the supplier had let them down and they would be contacting everyone shortly....still nothing today, so spread the word anyone relying on a Tesco Turkey to be delivered!!!!

DanJARMouse · 18/12/2007 19:13

just checked our asda/sains/tesco and earliest delivery available is thursday 27th!

luckily ive got an asda shop booked for saturday night

MrsGuyOfGisbourne · 19/12/2007 13:47
