Bless him he's all worried that she is going to be bored.
She is the youngest of 5 - the others are going to their dad for xmas - and it will be the first xmas he has had her (and her 1st xmas without siblings)
At the moment he is renting a room in a shared house, so not much personal space.
Anyone have any ideas that would help make it a n extra special day?
They are coming over for dinner so he only has the morning to fill.
TIA xx

Do you have any children of a similar age within the family? Any mad uncles to visit etc?

They could take a walk somewhere beautiful, just the two of them. He could pack brunch to bring with them

We always save one present for a treasure hunt with clues all around the house. At the moment the dcs are fairly young so they are very simple but I used to love this as a child. Presumably the other people in the house would not mind her looking for clues in lounge and kitchen etc.

I think that the single most special thing he can do is to take time to play with her - without interruptions - or 'in-a-minutes'. Just one on one undivided attention following her cues as to what she wants to do.

Thanks for all your suggestions, I'll pass them on.
