OMG I'd forgotten how much I hate putting up decorations

Two sets of tangled lights for the windows, not enough drawing pins, and the ones I do have keep bending.

Add to that some things have broken since last year, letters have fallen off my "happy christmas" banner, the wreath for the door is on its last legs and I really can't be arsed to put the tree together and decorate it.

Think I'll just leave everything in the boxes til next year ...

I bought a pre-lit tree because I hated putting the lights on the tree so much.

One of the good things about moving to the states is that people run decorating services for this task.

I’m just doing a tree this year, lights only and then lights on outside bush, that’s it. If anyone else in the family wants to do more they are welcome. I don’t mind doing this and enjoy it when done but I really hate packing it all away again in January

I loathe all the Christmas crap.
If I lived alone I'd have none of it.

Ughh it is a chore, I never enjoy it especially the tree, it seems to take ages

Every year I have the lovely vision of us all decorating with Xmas music on and feeling all festive.
In reality it’s damn hard work and everyone gets bored after five minutes and I’m left doing it alone.
I love it when it’s all done though 🎄
