No trees here, no sir.

At the weekend. We need to do a recce, find The Tree, then sneak back under cover of darkness to steal it.

No tree here yet. Leaving it to the last minute as DD has just started cruising and I have enough trouble removing her from trying to scale the loos, denude the CD racks, climb into dishwasher..........

MariNativityPlay · 18/12/2007 12:09

No, tree will go up at the weekend (usually goes up 23rd or 24th Dec).

jingleoooggs · 18/12/2007 12:14

no tree here as dts are too quick at crawling and I can't watch both of them and ds1 at the same time so leaving it til the last minute

gorgeousfeebie · 18/12/2007 12:18

No tree here either as cant find the base. But lights have been put up in the window.

Flibbertinseljinglebells · 18/12/2007 12:34

No you are not alone - ours is still in the loft with all the decs. The loft access is over the top of the stairs and reached by standing on top of stepladders that I am not tall enough to stand on and get head and arms through loft hole. Have been asking DP (6' 1") to just poke his head up and get the box (clearly marked and left just near access during my last trip up there)for 2 weeks now.
Would go up today but a) will fall downstairs - a mother died falling downstairs doing the very thing a few years back - from the top of stepladders perched on our tiny landing and b) dp has chained up stepladders in yard and gone off with key on his keychain.
To top it all, the excuse of 'We don't put the tree up till after DS1's birthday on 18th Dec' which most of my friends knew was a LIE, expires tonight!!!

ps Barry and Pelvic floor, switch the tree on the first time with the child in the room and tell them its HOT, VERY HOT like you would a cup of tea. Worked a treat with our two they've never touched it.

BrieVinDeAlkaSeltzer · 18/12/2007 12:36

Tree up, lights on, no baubles.

Should do that with DS this evening.

XmastimePelvicfloorsandWine · 18/12/2007 12:37

Thanks will do Flibbert, although if it doesn't work then i shall be blaming you

You might find you need to remind them in your supernanny low assertive voice that its HOT VERY HOT if the child wanders over to it!

EniDeepMidwinter · 18/12/2007 12:48

no tree

20th for us (night of dd1s birthday

decorated on 21st after school ends

RGPargy · 18/12/2007 13:14

No tree or decorations up here either! Haven't had a chance since i gave birth 2 weeks ago and getting out of the house is still a mission lol. Plus DP has been laid up in bed with Chicken Pox so even dinner has been a no-go area lately, let alone putting up decorations!
