She's in her eighties, doesn't drink or like sweets much, has no hobbies apart from TV and reading, can't walk much these days, is very particular about beauty products. I'm on a tight budget, I have a couple of books for her, just would like to give her something else small. Last year I knitted her a shawl for when she's reading in bed. I'm on a tight budget. I thought I could make her an ibeanie for her tablet, but I've no fabric or anything to fill it. I'm guessing if I did it would just be 3 triangles sewn together?

Any other ideas would be very welcome Xmas Smile

A houseplant? Throw for living room chair? Ibeanie sounds lovely. Could probably even make with unwanted clothes/ cushions .
Some nice jams or chutneys?

A photo frame with a special photo in it

Crackers and chutney & take some cheese on the day?
Cream tea (scone, jam, cream & nice teabags)?

ibeanie sounds great if you have a sewing machine. you could fill it with rice or lentils like a bean bag?

My adult dc gave my mum a book like this last year (in her 80's, disabled, no real interests other than tv). It was one of her favourite gifts. www.amazon.co.uk/100-Little-Things-Love-About/dp/B08SGZ7SX8/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=i+love+you+book&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1639092757&sr=8-6

I love that book @IthinkIsawahairbrushbackthere. A great idea.

Thanks for the pinterest link @missmeg3leg, l think I'll make one, just need to find some clothes I no longer wear. I don't have a sewing machine but I reckon I can sew it by hand.

Love all the other ideas too. She doesn't like chutney unfortunately and doesn't really eat scones or cheese. She has many many photos all over the place, but I've just found an app for a free photo book where you just pay for delivery, so might try that.
