Budget laptop capable of playing the Sims and Roblox

Hi,

I'm looking to get a laptop for my two DC to share for Christmas. I did try and get that Curry's one that was flagged on here but my order was cancelled although a lot of people said it was no good so perhaps that was a blessing.

They will use it for doing homework, but mainly for The Sims and Roblox so I want to ensure it runs the games.

I don't have a huge budget, say around £350 so I'm aware that I may be best buying off CEX as I assume I won't get a new one for that price.

Would something like this be any good?

Does it have to be a laptop? My grandchildren have galaxy tablets S6 lite 2020 and play Roblox. I find the tech radar site good for reviews.

I’m not sure they can play The a Sims on a tablet though?

Out of the two links you posted id get the second one. Better processor and ram (which you need for those games), just an older style hard drive. Thats a pretty good buy tbh for what you want (please bear in mind I've only glanced and haven't had coffee yet! )
