or not?

Iknow I am a numpty but have been insanely busy.

I am thinkmnig that xmas cake takes so long to be eaten that it will get a chance to mature!

Make it, it'll be fine - the fruit soaking is the most important bit IMO

just check it's still ok - I started soaking fruit for a tealoaf the evening before I went into labour and by the time I came home with dd it was fluffy with mould...

It will be delicious - I once left my fruit soaking for a week , realised hadn't cooked cake and worried fruit might have got dry again so lobbed in extra booze. Cooked it next day, only a week before Christmas and it was fine.
