Suggestions for 18 YO DS

Really struggling this year on what to buy my 18 YO DS. His main hobby is gaming and he used the money he got for his 18th to build his own gaming PC.

Any suggestions either gaming or non gaming related ? I don't really want to get him clothes.

What have you bought for young men of a similar age ?

Thanks Smile

My DS is 19 and he mainly asked for clothes this year. He also requested aftershave, water bottle, watch, books.

I can appreciate your quandry because it seems all they want is cash when they get older and it feels like that's a bit of a non event and its nice to give gifts too Xmas Smile For family members who are 17/18/19 I have bought these this year or in the past and they were a hit Smile

Some ideas (but he may have them already?)
Better wireless gaming mouse
Upgrade his mouse mat (some have fans and light up etc sorry not a techy myself!)
Headphones either for going out (earbuds) or upgrade his headphones for his PC
Steam cards are always a hit for PC because they can spend it on Steam when they have sales etc or for a particular game they like
Same with a Google Play card or an Xbox Game Pass card if they have an Xbox and an account
Bigger items? Gaming or office chair for him to use whilst using his PC.
Smaller items: Red Candy had some great cushions this year like Danish pastries that are fun and for their rooms and was recommended on the bargain thread and am thrilled with them because they are bulky and look fun! £6.95 delivered but that was at cyber Fri/Mon prices?

Teens in our house LOVE a snack box either Japanese sweets (if they like anime) or basically just a box filled with the kind of treats they like then pop in a steam or google play card and they are happy! Typo also have some funky socks that always go down well too. I believe Oodies or fake oodies are the rage for teens too (I shrug cos my lot are all hot most of the time and would hate them but if your DC feel the cold may be a good idea to bulk out his present pile)?

Hope this helps, I feel your pain lol it was so much easier when they are younger and can write to FC with ideas etc!!

God its hard. I've got 16 and 18 year old DS's.

I like the idea of a snack box with a steam voucher, japanese sweets go down well as they are so unusual and you haven't a clue what you're eating. I was also thinking of a some sort of snack box subscription for DS16. I've got DS16 a fridge for his room as he's a gamer so will fill it with snacks and drinks.

DS18 is at uni so he wants clothes, gym stuff, alcohol, beer keg from local brewery, got the regular smellies, chocolate beer hamper from hotel chocolat.

Plus cash!!

My ds is 18 and is mainly getting cash. He loves jewellery so that can be easy too - I’ve got him some earrings. Designer pants and loungewear, a leather belt and buckle I know he’ll love, bottle of booze, electric shaver, gloves. I actually find it easier to but for him now he’s older.

Other things that have gone down well in the last few years - men’s jewellery box / tin, wireless charger, designer scarf, funky bottle openers as stocking filler, personalised shot glass, gaming headphone stand, punch bag, gym weights, gym mat, nice designer shirt, new bedding, headphones, cinema pass, Greggs vouchers.

Razor head phones

Or anything razor

Mine have the headsets, large mouse mats, base stands and mic all of which they love and have had for a couple of years so good quality as they haven’t broke yet.
