I have wrapped up the gifts to go in his stocking in the same paper that all his other presents are wrapped in.

His main present from FC will be unwrapped..I think haven't decided yet.

Will he suss this out and wonder why FC has the same paper as mummy?

I am over analysing this aren't I?

Clearly I do not have to wrap them all up again in special paper from the North Pole do I?

God I need help.

Don't wrap them at all - nothing in the stockings is wrapped in this house.

ggirlsbells · 17/12/2007 22:51

Just to clarify he gets one present from FC and a few little ones in his stocking, all the rest from family .

What age?

If they ask say parents have to help wrap things then return to santa.
Or You all send paper to santa as he uses so much,
or say oh yes I use the good stuff same as santa.

Mine are old enough to suss so I use different paper, tags and writing.

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 17/12/2007 22:52

lol.....

I worried last year that DS would wonder that his presents were wrapped in the same paper as they had been the year before.

We don't do a present from mummy and daddy; they're all from santa and I worry he'll wonder why there isn't a pressie from mum and dad.

DontCallMeSantaBaby · 17/12/2007 23:05

DD is 3 and I've wrapped all her stuff in the same paper. I doubt she'll notice. If she does, I'll tell her FC ran out of paper and had to use some of ours when he got here. If she doesn't notice, I'll do the same next year, in fact will keep doing it until she does notice, have to use the story, then I'll switch. After that if I get caught out using last year's paper to wrap the stocking stuff, I'll tell her we very greenly recycled the wrapping paper by sending it to FC to use the following year, and amazingly he has used it to wrap HER present! What an incredible coincidence.

No tags on stocking presents, so at least I don't have to do weird handwriting in years to come.

SantaBabyBeenAnAwfulGoodGirl · 17/12/2007 23:08

i thought the whole point of stockings is that they aren't wrapped babe

Krimble · 17/12/2007 23:08

I only did labels on santa stuff so I knew whos was whos, now I do a black dot on DD's pressies. ONe big tag on stocking.

Krimble · 17/12/2007 23:09

I wrap stocking stuff to slow down the opening process and add to the tension

BadKittenInAPearTree · 18/12/2007 10:53

stocking items are done in tissue paper here. Tis very speedy for FC to roll up gift in a bit of paper then wrestle a bit of sellotape on to it.

orangina · 18/12/2007 11:07

I'm sure he will notice, I'd keep the paper different.... and do you wrap stocking presents?

noelmum · 18/12/2007 11:11

deffo over analysing. how old is the child in question?

mumeeee · 18/12/2007 22:04

Don't wrap stocking stuff.
