Polaroid-esque camera that doesn't cost a bomb for film?

I'm looking for a Polaroid-style / Instax camera for DSS 15 that's actually realistic for him to use consistently (i.e he can pay for the film with his allowance and chore money)

But all the ones I've seen seem pretty pricy.

Any recommendations?

My kids have these obviously too cute for your ds but maybe something similar that prints on the cheap paper roll. Otherwise I'd buy a printer

I think the reason you haven't got many answers is that instant cameras are all pretty expensive, there isn't a cheap one unfortunately.

I'd be careful with the thermal paper ones if they want a lasting print. Thermal ones fade, it's like finding a receipt five years later and wondering what was on it. Sadly the Instax don't come cheap but the mini ones have offers on film sometimes so it is slightly cheaper.
