Title because the last one’s nearly used up and I haven’t got time to do my usual picking of a title, sorry.

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Or an electronic diffuser?

Yeknom · 11/12/2021 18:35

@AnotherOne4 it's like a fruity/juice tea with tapioca pearls in, or something like that! All the rage with the youth apparently Grin

PatriotCanes · 11/12/2021 18:36

@Notlongnow1

Apologies I know it has been asked before but didn't know I needed one then... jigsaws... Good quality but bargainous. Probably nature theme. Thanking you!
Ravensburger or Gibson make are always good. Amazon aren't too bad price wise - they've got a flowery Ravensburger 1000 piece for £7.99 - www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08S7HQJBH/?tag=mumsnetforu03-21 and 5% off if you buy 5.

The Works have loads of cheaper ones but I'm not sure about the quality.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 11/12/2021 18:39

@heelforheelandtoefortoe

she hates getting her photo taken lol and has plenty of photos of grandchildren (we have a photographer in the family!)

She is such a nightmare. I have already gotten her molton brown candles as I know she likes them but other options are limited!

She hates anything that makes her look or feel old too.

@heelforheelandtoefortoe

A vase, picture (I often buy very reasonable original art on Facebook, eBay, Etsy etc), sheepskin slippers, dressing gown, picture frames, decorative cushion.

Failing that a mop, bucket and Mrs Hinch book Grin

VividImaginationAgain · 11/12/2021 18:39

@heelforheelandtoefortoe

argh DF has just said he has no clue what to get DM for xmas. The bag she expressed an interest in is OOS (not sold anywhere else). She's already getting perfume and bath stuff from me. She's not into jewellery, doesn't drink, says she can 'buy her own flowers', not into chocolate, not into gardening or baking, not into make up or beauty treatments, never goes to the cinema. Her interests are her family and being house proud.

Help for suggestions!

Gosh! Is that you DD! Sound so like me.

I do like stationary though.

risefromyourgrave · 11/12/2021 18:40

Can I ask a question about 100 stars kimonos please? They say that the size is 8-18, but the person who I am thinking of one for is a busty size 20. Would one fit, (obviously without closing), without looking daft?!

CeeceeBloomingdale · 11/12/2021 18:40

@heelforheelandtoefortoe or theatre tickets, day out, national trust membership, voucher for afternoon tea

heelforheelandtoefortoe · 11/12/2021 18:50

ha ha she doesn't like stationery!

She does love home improvement shows, not sure what she'd make of Mrs Hinch (I am not a fan - not house proud, didn't get that gene!)

Will have a think about sheepskin slippers but worry she might see that as an 'old persons' thing (she's 70 so not exactly young lol)

afternoon tea could work, she did like that in the past, but there's hints in Scotland where we are that there might be more restrictions and I worry any voucher could expire before we get to use it

Trytowin20 · 11/12/2021 18:56

Found these on lightning deal. 20% voucher stacked on top making it £12 something. Can't link as I've bought it once so lose the lightning deal price.

Exactly what I was looking at for my husband and case is a torch which could be useful!

Thanks @patriotcanes and @ceeceebloomingdale. Will take a look :)

@risefromyourgrave No, unfortunately not. I am a size 20 and treated myself. I got a few different styles but most were too small across the shoulders and chest, despite being voluminous elsewhere. I was just about to post in S&B to ask if there is an alternative company who do similar in a plus size.

I did get this lovely scarf.

And this style of kimono was the closest to fitting, but only just.

I suspect the shrugs might be OK size wise (but not a flattering style for a larger size).

stepfordwifey · 11/12/2021 18:59

@Notlongnow1 there are quite a few puzzles on Robert Dyas.

LastStarFighter · 11/12/2021 19:05

I thought I was done Confused but I just grouped together the kids presents and it looks measly, particularly as they are just getting money from family.

So I am asking for the impossible … presents for teens that make a big parcel, but won’t take up needless room in their bedrooms, and isn’t wasteful. Cost not an issue, but I don’t want to spend just for the sake of it.

I did think of posters/art, but have done that before (and DS1 has already helpfully decided that he wants a poster from the Ubisoft US Merch store that doesn’t ship to the U.K.).

They have books, T-shirts, hoodies, games, art supplies.

Help!

bookish83 · 11/12/2021 19:05

@RainbowPhilosophy
@2319inprogress

My tiger order eventually arrived last week... apparently took a long time to clear customs!

PinkPanther27 · 11/12/2021 19:12

@2319inprogress
Damn it they're out of stock! Thank you- I'll look for them in-store 🙂

Someaddedsugar · 11/12/2021 19:13

@LastStarFighter a snack/sweet hamper? One of the people I work with has a DS who loves a certain type of crisp and he’s been bought a box full. Cheap but big! Dressing gowns/slippers/fleece throws?

Bedding? Big snuggly fleece blankets? Both very chunky and also useful
CeeceeBloomingdale · 11/12/2021 19:16

Agree with bedding and throws. I just bought DD a big cushion from pretty little thing to boost her pile.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 11/12/2021 19:17

Heels, what about the 100 stars brand? One size fits all with their stuff and it’s beautiful - worn from 30 upwards I would say so ageless. I recommend the short kimonos and the gowns

Someaddedsugar · 11/12/2021 19:18

So sorry, I know this one has been done to death - please can someone remind me of the cost effective earbuds on Amazon. I've just been looking but would like a proper verified purchase 😂

Someaddedsugar · 11/12/2021 19:19

@LastStarFighter a storage box for the art supplies? A toolbox would work...

My DC’s present pile looks small too, I bought dd1 (17) a fake oodie and a giant squishmallow to bulk her pile out, most of her things are tiny, also got them both a kinder selection box, last year my mum made Dd1 a crisp selection box which went down well 🤣. I was tempted to buy a slushie machine this year for them to share but have managed to stop myself.
CeeceeBloomingdale · 11/12/2021 19:21

@heelforheelandtoefortoe sheepskin slippers are popular with all ages, my teen likes then as do I (40s), my mum (70s), and grandmother (late 80s). Emu ones are lovely and cheaper than Ugg’s but the best tip is Aldi, you can order online or they are I store tomorrow. They start at £14.99

JaneyJimplin · 11/12/2021 19:24

I'm so disappointed with look fantastic. I've always had perfect service in the past, but I placed an order 10 days ago and it's still not dispatched. I tried to cancel but they've said I can't... even though they've not even dispatched it to me?! Apparently I can return it to them when I eventually receive it. Gee, thanks, I'm sure that'll be a convenient and speedy process.

Seems lots of other Mnetters are having issues with them.

The Hut Group. Utterly dogshit service with every company they own. I love Ameliorate but they own them Angry
