Title because the last one’s nearly used up and I haven’t got time to do my usual picking of a title, sorry.

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

@Mumcube We have a Britax Dualfix 2 and it's really great. We had a Joie 360 spin which broke easily and was a huge waste of money. The Britax is much more solid whereas the Joie felt flimsy. The spin is better on the Britax too.
I have another baby due soon and dreading forking out for another car seat.

Sarahclacko · 09/12/2021 20:52

@ConsuelaHammock I’ve had a pair of perilla.co.uk alpaca socks and they’re still going strong

dramalamma · 09/12/2021 21:08

FRIEND20 gives 20% off at Buttermilk.co.uk which is really good for vegan/dairy free (some gluten free too but do check) chocolate treats at a very reasonable price - their peanut butter crunch bags and the crunchie/snickers/Mars copies are amazing and I'm a total fusspot when it comes to chocolate. Would be great to lane up your own selection box for anyone with allergies (or, if you're anything like me to make up your own tin of treats to nibble on while the others are scoffing the quality treats! 😁)

@Annie1290

Any bargain suggestions for next door neighbours 6 month old? Having a complete blank. No more than £10, preferably less.
Tomy Hide Squeak Eggs were a hit with mine at that age: https://www.argos.co.uk/product/4028868

Or Usborne 'That's Not My....' touchy-feely books

Waterfallgirl · 09/12/2021 23:48
@FilthyforFirth probably not what you’re looking for but I bought my dbro some lightsaber chopsticks last year which are awesome!
Failing that, there’s lots on Amazon with really good reviews.. bamboo, stainless steel, fibreglass etc.

@ncsmummy thank you, do you have any recommendations? I bought some body/bubble candles for there but couldn’t see any jar ones, maybe I wasn’t looking right
I recommend these candles Wandering Bee - the-wanderingbee.com/ just fab. I know this woman and she is already having her products stocked in JL pop ups and Wedgwood.

@Mumcube

Baby car seat Can anyone please recommend a suitable car seat- looking for our next car seat as DS has just turned 1. Just seems a mammoth task to decide on which to buy in terms of make but also durability. He’s come after many years ( older siblings are way into teenagehood )so it just feels like am doing everything for the first time. Please help with suggestions of especially if you have one you have used and can recommend. Thanks
@Mumcube I have this one from John Lewis and absolutely love it.
InDreamland · 10/12/2021 00:04

@Mumcube I also bought this one for my parent's car for when they have DD1.

thaegumathteth · 10/12/2021 01:15

@Annie1290 the hide and squeak eggs are my go to baby present too

Getoutofbed25 · 10/12/2021 01:21

Can anyone remember the company selling the dressing gowns for £20 and if there are any current codes? Thank you

Wheeliebinsoutinthemorning · 10/12/2021 01:43

My M&S Advent Calendar offering is quite fun today. It’s what they describe as a single-entry voucher for one of 1000 experiences.

If there’s more than one price (eg adult and child) then the voucher counts as the more expensive ticket.

I searched, and there were 3 fairly close to me. One is for a riverboat trip where you go as a group and only one ticket is free, but the other two are for treasure-hunt type things where the voucher is valid for up to 6 people. I didn’t investigate much further so I don’t know if there are restrictions, but it might be a useful thing for a family to do at some time in the holidays.

Plumjamorcrumblyham · 10/12/2021 02:30

DD (11, almost 12) has dropped the bomb shell that she wants a “comic subscription” - any age appropriate magazines that also have a comic feel to them?

Randomdogbite · 10/12/2021 03:47

We get the Beano and my 10 year old is always the first to read it. You can sometimes get 3 months for £10 so not a huge outlay if no good, they are delivered weekly too.
