Present for 5 year old girl

I am looking for a present for a friend's grand-daughter; she is 5 1/2 .

I would normally spend £25-£30 and get a character top or PJs, a small chocolate gift and a toy so I'm looking for a toy costing £10-£15. Any suggestions ?

It's a long time since I had a child that age and so many things I'm not sure if they are too young or not.

Possibly a craft or activity set .

I'm guessing peppa pig stuff is too young . What is this Melissa & Doug? Would this be age appropriate? I've not heard of before . Is play mobile too young ? I've bought her frozen or Disney princess themed stuff previously a s imagine she already has overload of
that. Seems to be a lot of unicorn things !

My 5 year old loves the diamond painting kits for kids. Or long stitch for kids.

She 'really really, actually needs, literally has to have' skid marks. The dog drawing game'
Anything Bluey. (Google it, fantastic Australian show)

She isn't too old for playmobil. Lego would be another good option, I'd suggest lego friends would be liked by most 5yo girls.

Other options might be a slime making kit or polymer clay, I don't know many dc who don't like these. Or maybe a diary with a small padlock, I remember my dc loving those about that age.

My GD is 5 she wants Polly Pocket

My 5.5yo DD2 loves Playmobil, Lego, Sylvanian Families, Polly Pocket, and Barbie. She enjoys craft sets, and has recently developed a love of Pokemon and Sonic the Hedgehog. She definitely wouldn't be interested in Peppa Pig (outgrew it a couple of years ago) and doesn't know what Bluey is. She has asked for a Rainbocorn and Squishmallow for Christmas (which she'll get), and will also get Gravitrax, books, and a few bits from the categories first mentioned to grow her collections.

At the same age, DD1 liked Lego, Sylvanians, Playmobil, Dolls, and books. She was just starting to get interested in Harry Potter (obsessed now at 7.5yo!).

Our DSs friend is nearly 5 and loves polly pocket, so does his 6 year old friend, so that may be an option.

Playmobil definitely not too young and there are some great sets.
Second the vote for Polly Pocket too, my daughter likes tiny fiddly things like that!
Lego have some really nice sets too, my daughter is getting the ice cream truck (normal lego) and tree house (lego "friends") for Christmas.

My daughter is 5 and a half and has asked for a dog that walks with a lead and some beanie boo cuddly animals.
She also loves polly pocket, lego friends, lots of arts and crafts. I think play Mobil would be great for a 5 year old.

At 5 1/2 my sister taught my dn to knit. So chunky knitting needles and wool. Knitting is very fashionable with many young girls now. I know my dn goes to knitting club at her school.
