My lovely parents adore their dog, and I wanted to get it a gift for Christmas as it would make them so happy.
Any suggestions for something special? Xmas Smile

www.saltdogstudios.co.uk/ also do beautiful collars if you wanted to get something like a Festive collar for this time of year?

HalfWomanHalfMincePie · 07/12/2021 14:39

Nina Otteson games for the clever dogs out there Smile

I've clearly bought too many dog presents in my time!!

uncomfortablydumb53 · 07/12/2021 15:15

I always buy my Westie gifts so he can join in the present " opening"
I've bought him a Kong Comfort kiddo soft toy and a puzzle toy thing this year. He's a much loved part of my Family

We got our dogs a sheepskin rug, the older one is 13 and he absolutely loves it. They’re not spoiled rotten Xmas Grin

I've bought ddog a water fountain and new food bowls. Last year I got her a big bag of secondhand tennis balls which she was delighted with.

FooFighter99 · 07/12/2021 16:59

Nothing raw-hide - it's so bad for them Sad

SilverBelle · 07/12/2021 17:02

Our boy loves Mr Porky's for a treat. We have to ration them though!

LadyCatStark · 07/12/2021 20:20

What breed of dog? And how old are they?

Our Labrador puppy is getting:

An agility set.
A Nerf duck that you can pull back and shoot off like a slingshot.
A new collar that says Friendly (so people hopefully know that I’ve put him on his lead out of politeness not because he’s nervous or aggressive).
A glow in the dark hall.
A plush duck that will be “killed” in minutes 🙈
Some edible treats.

His favourite toys that he already has are:

A rabbit with crinkly plastic inside from Home Bargains
A corduroy and rope snake from Pets at Home
His Kongs
His Hollee roller ball
Any dead animal body part from the local pet shop 🤢.

LadyCatStark · 07/12/2021 20:21

Oh and his gun dog dummy.

LemonCake79 · 07/12/2021 20:33

My Springer is getting a new frisbee. I'm quite tempted by a nice, new fleecy blanket too. He's currently very attached to an old towel though so the gesture might not be appreciated.

Mol1628 · 07/12/2021 20:38

New fluffy fleece blanket for her bed
Kong squeez ball
Sprout toy

Our dog loves opening Christmas presents.

FoxInABox · 07/12/2021 21:11

@LadyCatStark where did you get the nerf duck please?

EcoCustard · 07/12/2021 21:35

Bought so many gifts for my two spaniels over the years. Ddog 1 loves balls, water, balls, sticks & balls but is getting old so have to reign the balls in Grin. The best gift ever was the dog nerf gun. This year will be getting some fancy biscuits, a new chuck it ball with strap.

Ddog 2 is very different and loves cuddly toys so will be getting a new cuddly bear & fish biscuits.

They always get a bone on Christmas Day or Boxing Day too ( get one every week but they butcher saves them an extra meaty one.

Snuffle mats are popular with mine or a puzzle ball, kong Wubba, a night away in a dog friendly hotel with a lovely walk whilst there?

LadyCatStark · 07/12/2021 21:46

@FoxInABox I ordered it from Amazon but I can’t see it on there now ☹️.

mrsrobin · 07/12/2021 21:50

I also suggest the Nina Otteson puzzle games. My dog loves them - and once she has mastered one we give that one to my son's dog for Xmas and she gets a new one!

Nanasueathome · 07/12/2021 21:51

Have a look at Mungo and Maud website
My dog gets her ‘special stuff’ from there
