I'm probably late to the party but an acquaintance mentioned that their elderly parents were really enjoying something called Hey Go. They were previously well travelled and enjoyed culture but Covid put a stop to that so my friend had signed them up to this and they were loving it
So I checked it out not expecting anything too decent but I'm quite impressed! It's completely free but you can 'tip' at the end if you've enjoyed it
What is it? Well you can just go on these live streamed tours. Pyramids, Japan, whale watching in Canada, the Van Gogh museum, carnivals in Brazil etc etc etc. You have a live guide and you can ask questions and chat away and they basically show you round. You have a huge choice of tours all over the world and most guides are really experienced and answer all questions. I know because I joined a 45 minute tour - a ghost walk in Norway!
Anyway I am NOT on commission and I don't work for them
and you'll probably all go 'err yeah. This is old news'
But for people who can't get out and can navigate an iPad and like learning new stuff round the world it 'might' be worth looking at?
