Depends what they like but I would go for Lush gift set (bath bombs, shower gels etc) Beauty Bay eyeshadow palettes if they are into makeup. A subscription to Glossybox or Birchbox would be great if she likes beauty stuff. Starbucks/Costa gift card is always a win. Pandora Jewellery usually goes down well with teens. Maybe you could do an ASOS gift card too?

Also pyjamas and fuzzy socks you can't go wrong with!

Stuff for her room that fits her preferred aesthetic - if you can give us a vague sense of how she styles herself / her stuff, can give more specific suggestions. I will list a few things but these are quite general and could be off-base! Happy to add more if you could share a bit more info

Room -

Hanging wall decor like a moon phase decoration, tapestry, small decorative mirror (Urban Outfitters)

If she has a particular interest in an aesthetic like cottagecore or dark academia, etc, then room decor to go with that style would probably be very well received. Etsy is often the best place! I can help you find stuff.

Books - the big, hardback fashion books (Catwalk, the complete collections) are popular on Tiktok, so definitely worth considering if she's into style. Also big hardback travel books from the Assouline series. Since she's 18, a really nice, chic recipe book or cocktail book could be nice.

I bought dd a leather backpack for her 18th - apart from spectacularly bad timing (her birthday was 3 days after the start of the first lockdown!) it was very well received and (now that we're allowed out!) gets used a lot. Price was roughly around your budget - I got her this set that came with a leather bound notebook, pen case etc.
DMs & Levis denim jacket have also been past successes, but obviously it depends very much on her style

I didn’t get this for Christmas, but my eldest loves it and says all her uni friends have asked where I bought it and want it for Christmas.

It was from QVC product code 809694 (sorry, I don’t know how to do a link), it’s a Back Rest Cushion, so it’s like the top half of an armchair, so it supports you like a chair when reading in eg bed.

It’s currently on clearance @ £24.96 in lots of colours.

I remembered how uncomfortable my university room was (the 80s) and thought this would be really comfy and am now quite jealous that I never had one.

Christmas presents: books; hair products that she can’t afford; in-line skates and safety gear (a request); a small MK bag for when she doesn’t want to carry a rucksack -fits a phone an credit cards; and an angle poise lamp -which was surprisingly pricey!

My 18 yo dd has sent me her list. It has vintage hoodies at the top of the list. Clothes from UO, hats, scarfs, underwear and fake tan. Plus Harry Styles merch.

She's also sent me a link to this website which I'd never heard of, for going out tops. (she'll catch her death in them, maybe she'll be wearing the hoodies over the top to keep her warm).

and yes she wants a coffee machine for uni (which I'd already got for her in fact)
