Can anyone talk to me about Neom diffusers (the electric one)?

Thinking of one for DD who enjoys aromatherapy and wellness stuff. I don’t really understand how they work of what I need to get. Any advice would be very welcome.

Thank you.

I have one :)

You just need to buy an oil to go with it

You fill up the tray inside with water and add a few drops of water and plug it in

SSOYS · 05/12/2021 14:37

Thank you. Do you like yours?

I have a Neom one and a cheaper one from Amazon.

I started off with the cheaper one (I think it cost around £20) plus a Neom oil (these also cost around £20).

To be honest it's all in the oil. Both diffusers work just as well as each other. If you want to be a bit more luxurious for Christmas then I can't deny the Neom one looks the part, it's boxed beautifully. However if this is your first experience of a diffuser then you might want to experiment with a cheaper model and invest more in the oil.

I absolutely love mine. I have it on most days Smile

I have the M&S one and also one from Oliver Bonas, I love both and use them a lot. I can't tell the difference between the two and both were a lot cheaper than the Neom one.
As @aConcernedPrude says, the oil you put in it is the most important thing.

boomboom1234 · 05/12/2021 14:58

Can anyone recommend any nice oil mixes for them? I have asked for one for Christmas from Oliver bonas but was thinking of trying some of the neals yard oil?

SSOYS · 05/12/2021 15:10

Thanks everyone. I’m going to go for Neom as I can get it from JL with my vouchers Flowers

I have a Neom one which I bought myself for Christmas last year
This year I have bought one for my daughter and my daughter in law as both commented on mine
Bought one direct from Neom which came with one oil and bought the other from QVC which was same price but with 4 oils
I have used alternative brand oils but do find the Neom ones better
You only need a few drops each time and they last ages

Get a Tisserand one. Much, much cheaper and does the same thing, just without the cache of the Neom name.

SunInMyEyes · 05/12/2021 17:33

We've bought future DiL a Neom Minipod for Christmas. I had a sneak look at it when it arrived and it feels like really good quality. I'm very happy with it and hope she will be too.

Christmasiseverywere · 05/12/2021 17:37

The cheaper diffuser work just as well but buy good quality oils

MrsDThomas · 05/12/2021 17:37

Neom may be “boxed beautifully” but you use whats in it, nit look at the box.

M&S does the same job at 75% cheaper. Bought mine at £23.

luverlybubberly · 05/12/2021 19:24

Can anyone suggest some oils ?

BringMeTea · 05/12/2021 20:15

White Company oils are good and cheaper than Neom's.

Christmasiseverywere · 06/12/2021 11:42

I like oilfaction oils

Christmasiseverywere · 06/12/2021 11:43

I’d personally avoid any oil selling mlms like neal’s yard, doterra etc

Chakraleaf · 06/12/2021 11:45

I got a cheap one. Works lovely

MilkBread · 06/12/2021 14:23

John Lewis has their own brand one as well OP - much cheaper

Wallywobbles · 06/12/2021 14:26

We had someone staying for 2 months who used a diffuser. Our dog got incredibly sick and the only thing we could think that might have caused the issue was this. He got better when she left.

salcombebabe · 06/12/2021 14:26

I buy all my essential oils from Neals Yard as they’re pure essential oils and smell beautiful! I also have two diffusers from them too.

OnTheBenchOfDoom · 06/12/2021 20:42

@luverlybubberly re suggesting oils, we went to the Neom shop so we could sniff them in person which is the best way to choose what you like. The shop smelled heavenly and we bought 5 oil blends.

Our favourite is in the calm and relax range and is Moment of Calm (rose and neroli) it is our go to. The others were Sensuous, Complete Bliss, Feel Good Vibes and the most expensive one was Ylang Ylang, Vetivert and Tonka Bean, which was £30, the others were £20 each.

I have two cheap Amazon diffusers. The Neom oils are very rich in quality and so they can feel overpowering scent wise if you put too many drops in. I tend to put mine on intermittent if the continuous mode is too much.

Diffusers are also about how they look, they all perform roughly the same way, some may have timers for different lengths of on time.

@Wallywobbles Lots of essential oils are not good for dogs so I am not surprised your poor dog got sick. There are pure essential oils plus blends of essential oils however there are also synthetic ones that people use too. I wouldn't want to be inhaling that never mind a poor dog whose sense of smell is far greater than a human.

starrynight19 · 06/12/2021 20:49

I love mine , but agree that it’s the quality of the oils. I bought the set of 4 to go with my pod.

Justyou · 06/12/2021 21:44

I’ve bought the Neom set of 4 but delivery is taking ages

Tigersteakpie · 06/12/2021 22:49

They often have decent oils in homesense!

I found mine by the body/bath stuff though, not the candles
