Usual stocking stuff (favourite juice, sweets, fluffy socks, waterstones voucher, makeup)

Aldi had squishmallows this week if it's the same thing I'm thinking of. I got DD a Santa one for now and I've bought an animal shaped one as a surprise for Christmas

Set of 16 different hot chocolat mixes
Set of 6 coffee syrups
Lip balms

SingToTheSleigh · 05/12/2021 19:47

Already had her main present - a (better) replacement phone as hers gave up a couple of months ago. So nothing “showstopper”ish this year!

She’s hugely into Kpop and anime so most presents relate to that - lots of little things from Etsy like photocards, earrings, posters etc - worth searching on there for any tv shows/films/music etc she likes as there is bound to be something!

I’m planning to put a lot of it in a box to make a sort of mystery box as her Santa present (have a 4yo so still maintaining the magic!)

Unusual sweets are good too, again mostly Japanese/Korean for mine but lots of cool American stuff around too. Also getting her a boba cup from the local shop which means she gets bubble tea cheaper (like the Costa reusable cup)

Her older sisters have bought her some Vans and she’s getting wireless earphones

Stocking fillers - flow rings, fidget rings, long socks, nail varnish, probably a nice body spray or something

Tempted by screen printing set as she loves art

ScarlettDarling · 05/12/2021 19:52

New Fitbit
Riding hat and boots.
Bag from urban outfitters
Lush snow fairy stuff
Clothes which she has chosen
A sunset lamp
Makeup
Victoria’s Secret sprays
Bag for ice skates
Splendor board game
Other bits and bobs I can’t remember! I find my 14 year old super easy to buy for. Her 17 year old brother on the other hand is impossible!!

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 05/12/2021 20:01

Canvasses, paints and alcohol markers.
A couple of games for her switch.
A dressing gown and Pj's.
For her stocking some Harry Potter bits, make up, socks, sweets.

reluctantbrit · 05/12/2021 20:33

DD is huge into Cosplay so will get several accessories and costume parts for her characters.

Otherwise
hoody
make up
books
wall calendar
several Loki merchandise
Imported German chocolates she loves and can't get here as we haven't been over for 2 years now.

We have bought tickets for Cirque du Solei as family present.

Puffinhead · 05/12/2021 20:35

Ticket to see Nutcracker ballet
Greggs voucher
Satin pillowcase set
Jewellery holders - posh ones
Fancy hairdryer

Money

Not terribly exciting but she had a birthday recently so got stuff she wanted then.

MazzleDazzle · 05/12/2021 20:37

Air Pods
Hair straighteners
Perfume
PJs
Slippers

Quite uneventful, but we’re getting a dog which is quite exciting!

ShowOfHands · 05/12/2021 20:44

Tickets to an art exhibition
Theatre tickets
Art supplies
Books
Material (for clothes making)
Stationery
Small stocking fillers like a flannel, sweets, pencils etc

She'd really like an iPad for drawing and we've tried to find one refurbished but it's just too expensive. We've told her we will just keep saving and try again for her birthday. Her art teacher has really recommended she get one for the animation and graphic art she's producing and she's pursuing a career in that direction but it turns out that Apple products are not within reach!

ilovebagpuss · 05/12/2021 21:08

Revolution gift set of skin serums
Decent pencil set and sketch book

TheTurn0fTheScrew · 05/12/2021 21:15

I must admit I've struggled a little!!
New goose down duvet (ethically sourced)
Brushed cotton duvet cover set

Clothes
Necklace
Sushi plates (she loves sushi)
Some other oddments, posh chocolates
Hoping to get a Japanese picture..

IgneousRock · 05/12/2021 22:17

Mine wants to revamp her room and make it look more grown up, so most of her presents are on that theme (new duvet cover, picture, jewellery box, storage unit, desk etc).

user33323 · 06/12/2021 00:29

Otamatone
Hot chocolate selection box
Mug cakes sachet set
Mug cakes recipe book
Sky light/aurora star projector
H&M lilac cloud print fleece jacket
Poster
Then clothes she has sent me links to from Vinted and Shein over the last few months, she doesn't know which/if any I've bought. There is pastel retro colour block trainers, fluffy colour block jumper, keyrings, enamel pins, socks, fluffy bucket hat, plaid skirt, mushroom print shirt, fish net tights amongst other things. Quote a generous pile because she didn't want a main present this year so it hasn't been expensive.

Not sure if this will help, but just incase you didn't know, these are the ones that will work with Apple Pencil 2. It's a nightmare to try and figure out, eBay is a good bet for a refurbished one as you are protected by PayPal. iPad 6th gen 2018 iPad 7th gen 2019 iPad mini 5th gen 2019 iPad pro 1st gen 2016 (9.7inch)
alrightfella · 06/12/2021 13:26

you used to be able to buy iPads on a contract ( like a phone) I know sky used to do them so may be worth looking into. @ShowOfHands

ShowOfHands · 06/12/2021 16:00

Thank you both.

It surprised me how flipping complicated it was finding what I actually needed online. You have to be so careful to make sure it's compatible and even searching for specific models throws up ones which definitely aren't compatible. And it's not a cheap purchase to get wrong. I think we'll ultimately have to go with a 1st gen pencil as the compatible models are significantly cheaper.

I really appreciate the responses too. I'll check out contracts as well.
